The worst part is that even if you ignore someone, their ratings still show when you enter "reactions received" page. So even ignoring is not a solution if you would like to review your ratings without constant notification spam.

Ratings are part of the responses given to you, therefore you want to read them too.

Can't you just review your newest posts from time to time?

I can, but its annoying. Similarly, I can see who quotes me by refreshing the page and reading back a few pages, but I'd rather get alerted. Its more convenient. Especially if my alerts page isn't full of 20 messages by 1 person calling me a retard.

Disable alerts and just check https://rpgcodex.net/forums/account/reactions every once in a while.

The only use cases for ignoring should be spam and the bullshit advertisements Taluntain stuffs into every fucking div he possibly can.

I think I made myself clear, I want to be able to ignore only reacts, from only a few select people. This is easy to do in the code.

It's also easy to misclick and make you only see reacts from those few select people

The real issue is that the ratings alert behavior changed with the forum upgrade.

It used to be you got an alert for the first rating on a post only, until you checked that is. Now you get an alert for every rating.

I now have close to a hundred alerts when previously I had 20-30 in the same amount of time. Previous behavior was better IMO.

Some users get insanely upset for negative rating. Some users also activelt stalk others to spam bad ratings as well is also the reason why i made my profile not public anymore. Because i know some user eat their own hand in frustration when they cannot rate people in their profile.
I dont mind the ratings nor i consider them that important. What is important to me is the content of the posts. The rest matter little.
