I don't think so.
Oh... I see.

So it has come to this point where even the Kuroneko has become a LARPer, eh? Dark days, indeed.

You wish. They often don't even have to be of the same race.Micromegas said:Also in Oblivion the character models don't just look bad, they're also homogeneous almost any two characters of the same race and gender look indentical
Personally I liked the original faces in Morrowind. They were often just fugly, but they were distinctively fugly.Compare this with say Daggerfall where while most of the characters use a a predefined sprite that they share with other characters, these sprites all have distinctive looks and alot of personality built into them. This is one of the reasons why I'd consider Daggerfall, while being based on 2D sprites, to have better graphics than Oblivion.
As opposed to?Melissan said:It's an RPG. A role-playing game in case it's not clear. Characters never look photo-realistic in RPGs

Admit it. You want to play dress up. (There is no shame about that. For example, Saints row 2 is more fun with character with glasses and flip-flops.)
Quite the contrary, I'm afraid.Melissan said:This isn't funny.

Are bone dragons even capable of boners?MMXI said:A bone dragon too, from the looks of it.DragoFireheart said:I'm a dragon for fucks sake!
That's the irony though. Action games are becoming more and more RPG'ish( i.e. stats, perks and whatnot), while most 'RPGs' are becoming more action'ish( i.e. removing stats). I expect they'll meet somewhere in the middle and we'll end up with a single hybrid type of genre in which all new games will fall.Reptilian Shapeshifter said:Saints Row 2, now there's a sandbox game that's actually fun, unlike Oblivishit.
From the sound of it, Saints Row 3 is going to be more of an "RPG" than Skyrim.
Technically not. But since when was fantasy realistic?DraQ said:Are bone dragons even capable of boners?

It's not psychotic trolls *attacking* this site.
It's psychotic trolls *being* this site.
This site is basically a big pile of rejects and refugees from other RPG forums. A sizeable portion is quite intelligent and knowledgeable - those traits being the reason for their dissatisfaction and the reason why they left other forums in the first place, on their own volition or otherwise. Most have hard time obeying the rules imposed upon them. Quite a few are less than stable. Some subscribe to pretty disagreable value and political systems. Others are non-standard in other ways. All are angry, bitter and deeply dissatisfied. Often isolated to a certain degree by various factors, at least when it comes to gaming communities. Usually hateful.
Once in a while someone just breaks.
Excommunicator said:The Codex is much like an overcrowded and run-down theatre full of an audience of raving drunks and pompous gentlemen looking for seedy entertainment, where the only door in to the place leads directly onto centre-stage. The newcomers walk in rather Obliviously and find themselves alone in the middle of that stage, where they nervously do their little act in an attempt to to impress the crowd, some genuinely try to entertain, some do it just to provoke them, while others didn't mean to find themselves on the stage at all, but in that moment they realise its too late to walk out again.
Each one of them gets a reaction deserving of their performance.
They get laughed at, abused, have things thrown at them, accused of being Drog/Chefe/Nomask/Prosper/Wyrmlord/..., some unlucky ones get raped before they can break free, and all of them generally have their naive hopes and dreams crushed by the overwhelming negativity and sadistic mentalities.
It doesn't matter what kind of reaction they get. In fact, the more violent and oppressive, the better.
If they belong, and actually want to stay, then they will suck it up, accept being yelled at and abused and they will keep coming back for more until the audience eventually loses interest over the never-ending line of fresh meat coming in. If they are lucky enough, they will be able to slink to the back of the theatre unnoticed and find an empty seat and maybe a discarded bottle of vodka.
This is the way of the Codex. This is the initiation process. Don't try to break something that works just fine for everybody involved. Especially us drunks.
