"The arrogance in that press release is fuckin' hilarious. "

Bullshit.

"That entire post was a 'we are better than everyone eelse we are betetr than everyone else we are better than everyone else' mantra. "

Wrong.

"Hoepfully the game itself will be good to make up for the butthurt."

Crying again?

"Buthurt McGee. Bottom line is your little post was arrogant to the full, you got called on it, and are now crying over being called out. Deal with it. "

No. FFS stop lying.

Ah ! 4 pages on iron tower /double bear, the "ivory tower of indies rpg", in the canard pc of november (issue 222) . Vince should not read it beacause his head will inflate so much he wont be able to cross doors and get out.Its just full of praises, i think he fell in love. One comment on the combat demo , best turn by turn combat since fallout, a subtle game, chess with claymore. One minor criticism:Its ugly and the purple, mauve colors make it looks like "the end of the world during a vodka-blueberries party"

It's the only game in town?
Until you release AoD it is.

Anyway, great stuff
Looking forward to the demo. With what's on the horizon this may well be the only CRPG of 2011 that I will buy.

Whatever, everything makes it look like AoD will be released after Duke Forever.

People still crying over facts? VD was bragging how about he's so much more awesome than everybody else. That is the defintion of arrogance - belieiving you are superior to others. Dumbasses being butthurt is hilarious.

Putting out a silly demo doesn't make you better. It makes yiou dumb as demos are a waste of effort that cna be used to mkae the game better. FFS

I'll play the demo, but I have a feeling it won't come out for a year or two.

If a game is well done, playing a big chunk of it should make people want more. If it's not the case then we have failed miserably and should not be in business.

I wish more publishers realized this. Doom gave away a full third of the game. Did anyone beat the first chapter and say to themselves, 'Meh, I've had enough"?

I've tried those Xbox Live Indie games, and their trials last about five minutes. No exaggeration. It's absurd. Demos are meant to last longer than film trailers.

Someone post in the Zombie RPG forum that they should read the "I am a Hero" manga, I forgot my ITS password.

For a single playthrough it would be around 2 hours, but the area has 5 completely different questlines that are mutually exclusive, so it would sum up to 10h if you choose different backgrounds and play the different paths the game offers.

So how many hours should one get on a normal play through, by that i mean doing a healthy amount of quests but not nearly all while not rushing the main quest to finish the game.

VD do you really need to fight against windmills?

A windmill would be more intelligent than Volourn.

But in any case, considering today is Thursday, I really hope these news won't end in a disappointment as just rumors.

Or that the demo release will be delayed for "polishing".

If 2 hrs = 15%, then a "normal" playthrough should take around 12-14 hrs, which is p. good if "C&C" and character system are indeed solid enough to warrant multiple playthroughs.

:retarded:

What the fuck are you talking about? The DEMO is of a PART of the fucking game! How is releasing one going to impact on the quality of the game?

Your drivel is becoming ever more desperate, proportional to your ever increasing dyslexic typing.

It's a complete, unedited, large portion of the game?

Wouldn't it be a good idea to restrict some stuff? It might make the player more eager to buy the game, in order to discover those secrets and finish those quests. Demos are supposed to whet the appetite, not provide a generous portion of the main course. I would think you run the risk of wearing the player out and making them "full", feeling like they already experienced all there is to be had. There's also the problem that a player might just not enjoy that particular city, but would enjoy the rest of the game. With such a big chunk given, it wouldn't be hard for them to believe the rest of the game is the same thing.

Just a friendly suggestion. It's not like I personally know to get people excited about vaporware. :smug:

"So you say that when entered the tower to retrieve the Golden Goblin of the Fourth Age, Biggus Dickus preceded you and fled with it? Well, I have a fairly good idea of where you may find him, and you only need to open this webpage to purchase the full version of The Age of Decadence!"
