So I am not only one. I am surprised that some shop sell that before official release.
33 bucks for key or box version? I bought box for bit less.

Bought from key shop which sent the game as a steam gift.
There was a cheaper price somewhere but for Poland region only.

Yeah, it says so on my box and one site selling steam keys. Probably all keys from Poland are like that.

muds_animal_friend Really? I thought I could play right after I will get back from work.

According to Enhanced Steam the game is not sold in Russia. Cheapest price is in Brazil.

According to the developers on Steam it's 18:00 CET for both Steam and GOG. Shame they don't have a preload option.

What's your video card and ram?
8 GB RAM, ATI HD6870, AMD Phenom II X4 955 CPU

Well good god that's depressing. If you are having issues with that rig then I am fucked, and so is my gf, and none of that shit in a good way. :x
The make your pain worse, the framerate is not connected to graphical setting, it drops even on low. But hey, maybe it is just my rig, other people might have no problem. :D

Sounds like one of those "if you want to play the beta/release day, go Intel & nVidia" situations, so it'll probably be fixed get better.

My laptop's been having some pretty bad, most likely virus related issues with running indie games lately. I suspect I'm in for a pretty major disappointment later today.

thats terrible to hear. If theres one thing I cant stand is the kind of games where you get the same frame rates with everything on low and 1998 resolution as everything on max at 1080p resolution.

Another thing I'm not too keen on, and I think this is the case: units never miss anymore, you just get reduced damage. So even if there's a wall in the way, it's just reduced damage for a "line of sight" penalty. Same thing if a friendly unit is in the way, no more friendly fire possibility. Spells always hit as well? Pretty lame.

To be fair units tended to miss a lot in the previous games to the point where you had to bring your archers in the melee range of some of the higher defense units if you ever wanted to have a hope of hitting them. I haven't played AOW3 yet so I'm still on the fence concerning the whole thing.

I think the opposite for me.
What about those stupid situations where you had high tier unit that lower tier units simply CANNOT even hit..
It just baffled me that such design was in.

Same here. Or when the gods of random would smile upon that halfling slinger causing him to hit your hero for max damage 3 times in a row instantly killing him. Fuck that RNG shit. This is a strategy game not a casino. However, I don't like the fact that units can now seemingly shoot through solid walls with an obstacle penalty, it looks really silly and I hope this was addressed before release.

If I remember right, if the attack of the ranged unit was smaller than the unit's defense, then it would always hit for max dmg or something.

Which is why ballistas were so fucking scary in AOW1, 5dmg was no joke there.

Pretty sure the damage was random, at least I don't remember noticing any such patterns. Do you mean that the ranged unit's defense had to be higher than its attack or the defense of the target had to be higher than the attack of the ranger?

Awesome. AoW3 nr 1 on Steams bestsellers list and the official site is dead.
Loads of hype for a fantasy turn based 4x game. Love it. Release should be....right now?

1.7 GB ... reasonably petite by today's standards. Lucky for me given that my connection took 24 hours to download Rome II (and what a waste of bandwidth that was).
