It is a game's job to be fun from its first moment. Maybe a different mode would make all the difference to kris.
Yeah, like an "easy mode". 'cause right now the AI makes decisions in the 'retard mode'.It is a game's job to be fun from its first moment. Maybe a different mode would make all the difference to kris.
Which again proves your troll status. The AI got a major updated when the DLC was released. Seriously do some research people, or maybe actually play the game in question.Yeah, like an "easy mode". It's not a 4X.What playthrough? Halfway into the first campaign mission/tutorial? It's a 4x turn based strategy game. Your opinion is junk in this matter. And no races aren't all the same.Yeah, which means your opinion is invalid. Try actually playing a game next time. What you've seen exactly? Game has great reviews both users and critics, and wit the recent (cheap) DLC it's a joy to play.
I played one campaign mission and halfway into a map. After that i never picked it up again.
dont be stupid. This is the usual "you must play this many minutes to be able to critisize". That is incorrect.
The game was bland and boring. All races was the same and in one playthrough you could have all races, not that it mattered as they were as said the same.
Not that I was a big fan of the other game.
Except that it is. This forum gets more retarted each passing day. It's not a 4X.

HoMM can be considered 4x yes. Albeit more simple that others in the genre.Except that it is. This forum gets more retarted each passing day. It's not a 4X.
If it's 4x, than HoMM or Warlords are too.
Are you saying eight halfling slingers would attack 8 times? Animation-wise it's not so of course. Did you mean that the damage specified for each "unit" is multiplied by the number of "figures" it has, i.e. a single-figure unit such as a golem has its attack multiplied by 1, whereas a multi-figure unit such as pikemen multiply that number by however many figures there are. If so, then Age of Wonders is the same in that regard. Except in MoM I don't remember how many times a unit would strike an enemy. In AoW3 they attack up to 3 times depending on how far they moved during the turn.MoM units also attacked based on # of units inside the unit. So a Dwarf Golem only attacks once, since it's by itself, but eight halfling slingers would throw a hailstorm of rocks at you.
I was gifted AoW 3 a couple weeks ago. How much of an improvement is the expansion? Wondering if it's worth it to plunk down the cash for it or not (haven't played the base game yet)

It did. The game showed them as boulder attacks, but their attacks actually were treated as normal ranged missiles. Thus the letality of the halfling slinger. Especially with flame blade and lionheart (which in addition to the attack etc adds hp per unit). Don't remember if warp wood stopped them though.
REALLY? Well that sucks balls. I was wondering why that 1 remaining goblin darter did such crazy damage, esp. when flanking. This means that "figures" in AoW actually are just cosmetic like you said, representing health pool. Suuuuucks... why the fuck would they choose to do this.In AoW3, a unit's attack is the same no matter if it's in full strength or has 1 hit point left
I personally like the fact that unlike HoMM for example, there is no loss in damage from units with low health. Makes the battles more tactical.
Eador is a great game.well Eador is a much deeper game then AoW
