There is a big difference of casual botting and another of what is in essence fucking over a player with such a stupid thing as kidnapping because its what is common know as "griefing".

I don't know anything about this game but forcing players to directly compete for all meaningful resources is a good thing, not a bad thing.

Well, there is that, but the game is a bit more complex than that.
Been playing mmos for 12 years and i had to forget everything i knew about them to begin to understand this one. Its not that its too hard to comprehend, its just that stuff you know does not apply and its hard to get used to that.
