Do share a better way to implement gun skills in an action/RPG. Make bullets magically do more damage when they are fired by a more experienced character?

[intelligence] That would be nonsensical, bullet damage is dependent on the bullet and gun physics.

He means "where is it possible to have squad members die permanently outside of suicide mission and Samara's loyalty quest." Probably.

And to the best of my knowledge, it's not possible.

For the record: ME2 obviously is selling more then DA. Though it probably has as much to do with the fact that it has to be so dumbed down to be playable on consoles in the first place.

But ME2 is also a better game than DA. Shit as an RPG, but you know, it's actually not too tedious.

ME2 is also a much shorter game, but I agree. Quality over quantity, especially when your combat mechanics tend to suck.

Better writing would also help.

Define 'much'.

DA took 58 hours, and ME2 took 48 hours. *shrug*

ME2 took about 20 hours for me. Did all quests on the critical path, all NPC quests, and a couple of non-NPC quests, which is about the same as I did in DA. I think the critical path length in DA is longer than ME2.

That's because DA is more linear. R00fles!

You took 20 hours to complete ME2? People love to speed game. WTF do you bother playing a agme when youa re in sucha rush to get it over with? L0LZ

Then again, you got morons who supposedly took 100+ hours to finished DA. Those are dumbfucks too. or those bullshitters who claim that BG2 is 200 billion hours long. Or those scumbags who claim FO is an hour long. FFS

If you don't complete games in the same exact amount of time I do you are apiece of shit. 'Niough said.

You must have been wanking for about 20 of those hours in ME2. I completed the entire game (every side mission complete, all upgrades, all planets mined for resources, every dialogue listened to) in under 30h.

Doesn't that happen in Bloodlines and Deus Ex?
Yes it did. And it was retarded. Your point?

A little bit of shaking hands, a little bit of bigger recoil - aka how it happens in real life where you just take a gun and don't even know how to handle it properly down to holding your breath like a pro when targeting and placing a precise shot at max skill.
Of course better if the difference is very small between skills because it's very annoying when character skill affects player skill too much and vice versa.
But that's in a ARPG.

Alpha Protocol is just a shitty console shooter with unlockables so the best way is not to implement anything at all it its case. But this is Obsidian who is never able to come up with anything of its own
