Awesome preview, extremely in-depth and detailed. Why can't we get coverage like this more often?

because this is a hobby for staff and codexers - not a business?

I think sea was asking why we didn't get more coverage like this in general (i.e. from professional sites and such)

in that case, almost the same answer (but in a different meaning): we are doing it for a hobby. more enthusiastic, more interested, not really in it for "page hits", etc.
1) multipage write-ups isn't worth it for bigger outlets unless it's some moral thing, feminism or some shit.
2) because their readers wouldn't appreciate long articles - they want to-the-point shit.
3) because game journalists aren't gamers and don't know how to discuss games in-depth.

I'm pretty sure sea had that answer in mind when he asked the question ;)...

Not that I don't agree with you.

The most in-depth Divinity Original Sin preview ever!

Who could expect that one of the most detailed & extensive hands-on reports to be released would come from somebody whose day job does not involve pretending he knows anything about games?

Meet Gragt.

He played Divinity:Original Sin, he played Divinity:Dragon Commander. Then he decided to write down his experiences. We predict a great career in gaming journalism. Nice job Gragt!

Here's his preview (warning: do not put something in the oven when starting to read this!)
