Maybe you should melee less with you melee character
As someone who meleed Andor Dracon to death I find your lack of faith in melee disturbing. That was back in 1.1.1, though, but I doubt they nerfed that aspect much.The sad thing is, it's not just a matter of melee being good vs chaff but lame vs bosses and the decent melee monsters; meleeing all those zombies to death means you're missing out on valuable weapon xp for your ranged attacks, or spell xp. Using melee at all actually makes you weaker even when you aren't using it.

What is tremendous blows and how do I get it? My char is a gray elf.
Ah, artifact bow would make up for the massive lack of skill levels. Duelists require 10x as much to improve ranged weapon skills, so most classes are that strong with plain +0 bows (discounting the free crits on undead of course.) Mind you, undead tend to be mostly weaklings early on. Though if you OHKO'd the mummy lord that is rather impressive damage. Ranged crits OP.What is tremendous blows and how do I get it? Also is it possible for my duelist to learn frost bolt @lvl 20, 23 learning, 24 will power, 16 mana, 100 concentration, 100 literacy? Or am I gonna kill myself?
As far as shooting things I have the bow of Sun's messenger (my crowning gift). I use blessed arrows and it absolutely dominates undead @ 30 dex. I have yet to encounter an undead creature that I didn't 1-shot.

Hi everyone!
We start the new year with getting things out of the way: ADOM 3.0.6 now is available as a free download to the general public:
With this release our crowdfunding campaign comes full circle: We are officially done!
- You can download the major versions (Windows, OSX and Linux) from IndieDB.
- You can download all the other minor versions from our download server.
- The changelog contains extensive notes on everything that has changed since the last public release - you need to check all the entries from 3.0.0 upwards! This is MAJOR.
From now on we will focus our development effort on Ultimate ADOM and run ADOM in a kind of support mode (which means: it gets about 20% of our time for attention to fix bugs and add new features and content). Releases of ADOM will happen on Steam first (because it's technically much easier to do so) and then after a while also on IndieDB (but probably not every release but just the major ones).
If you would like to enjoy all the features of the Deluxe version of ADOM (the one on Steam) you still have a couple of ours left to get the best entry price in our Steam sale (which soon will be over). Utilize it right away!
