I kinda liked Ass Creed before it got infected with dumb SJW bullshit that made the horrible story even more awful.
What SJW bullshit is there? I haven't played an Asscreed since Brotherhood.
Until Brotherhood it was free of that shit as it concentrated more on a personal story but after that it got worse and worse. In Revelations the muslim prince sweat is made of peace, flowers and goodness while the christians are evil fascists that wants, ohh terrible... Expel the Muslim invaders and take Constantinople back. Ass Creed III gets Pocahontas syndrome and shows the indians suffering on the hands of the evil white man that are made of evil sociophats while the indians blood is made of pure goodness .

Guess what happens on the story? If you guessed that the indian tribe is destroyed and the protagonist is betrayed by evil white men people, you guessed right. Without mentioning that Freedom Cry and Liberation bullshit that defend that the right solution to slavery is to murder every white person that maybe involved with it. It is so manipulative and lacking any of the complexities of the time. It is history for dumb people.

You know there is always Call of Duty the 427th sequel if you want your fun killing the brown people as the white hero right?

Yeah, and I'm a KKK member for questioning manipulative bullshit. There were a series of complex events going on those times that are dumbed down to fit a narrative. Example: Slavery was a world wide phenomenon practiced by almost all cultures that had easy access to conquest. It wasn't anything related to race, you had lots of guns, your neighboor didn't , suddenly you got a lot of slaves. Whites made black slaves, black made black slaves, whites made whites slaves. What was in question was: Can a man own the labor of another man by force? Is that moral? If something is accepted by the majority of a culture, this make that moral?

There were a lot of questions being made at that time, slavery was a hot topic between europeans with them being the first culture to realize how immoral that shit was and being the first to ban it, there weren't any kind of discussions about it in the rest of the world with the europeans pratically waging a cultural war with the rest of the world to finally end that shit. I just get irritaded when games simplify that whole process to be retard proof: White people BAD, they racists, BAD, black people good, racism victms, go kill white people. That is just to appeal to the lowest kind of ignorant faggot.

So you're expecting an AAA vidya game targeted at your average 13-year-old dumb 'Murica kid to address those "complex events"?

I don't see history major graduate school level discussions of social norms and shit in my kindergarten storybook.

I agree, expecting anything that require anything more than a sub-human level of intelligence from AAA studios is pointless.

Bleh. Terrible Action series. What's the point of an Action game if everything is automated?

I admit, this series has gotten me. Well, after the latest entry it has. I was dissapointed in 3, I'd definitely say it was the weakest of the "numbered" games (with Brotherhood and Revelations being Assassin's Creed 2.5 and 2.7) but Black Flag was genuinely entertaining and introduced (or rather significantly elaborated on) the open naval world mechanics and shipplay. That's the key to keeping them entertaining - introducing new mechanics to each iteration that are fun, and as long as they keep doing that I'll keep playing them every year. I also like the story and lore, even if they went a little derp with the Mayan calendar disaster thing. At least that's over now.

So this Paris one is one of two coming out this fall. If you do some digging on the computers in Black Flag, they drop some hints about the next game (or at least next "character change") being set in early 17th century Hungary. That's definitely intriguing to me since it's something I know nothing about. We still have the other game setting to be revealed so I'm going to reluctantly call it.

Add in as many gimmicks as you can so people can ignore how boring the main gameplay is.

Perfect.

is the first asscreed worth playing on PC? i have some tolerance for ARPG.

It's not an ARPG, it's an action game. It has some stealth elements but 90% of that is "social stealth" like acting normal on a crowd or whatever. The vast majority of gameplay is running away from guards or fighting guards, which is super derp easy because all you have to do is hold block and hit the counter-attack button.

That real reason to play these games is to run around in and explore nicely represented cities from the past. There's really nothing else.
thanks

I only wish the part of the team responsible for engine and maps would be hired by/moved to some competent makers of RPGs.

A good RPG (even aRPG) set in renaissance Florence with the level of detail and freedom AssCreed2s maps offered, it would be heavan!

Holy shit this IP will never die will it? Considering there's an endless amount of Western historical settings to choose from (what's next? Spanish Inquisition, Russian Revolution, Cold War, Roman Empire, Classical Greece, American Civil War, etc), what's to keep AssCreed from ever going away or even evolving?

Is anyone even suprised that Ubisoft is setting the game in france? Most of AC 4 outside of being a pirate is spent running around delivering packages in fake france. Now you get to run around actual fake france and possibly deliver packages in real france as well.

I hated this game since I noticed it was about mohammedan heretics killing devout christians, servents of God in the Holy Land, of all places.

To hell with this heretic and sinful series.

WTF?

AC3 was about the American Revolution and how things were for the non-White people and that point slavery was only practiced on some parts of the world, you bitched about the Natives and yet AC3 also shown what was happened to the Native Tribes, being forced out of their lands because they didnt "own them".

So your complain is AC touches slavery but isnt entirely apologetic about it, AC3 really points out the "American Freedom" only applied to White Male Landowners at that point, basicly you are bitching the series being preachy but preachy about things you dont like.

I agree, expecting anything more than historical locations sightseeing from AssCreed is pointless.

Fixed that for ya.

Pretty much it, the entire thing is just stupid ... serious, what one expect of a game that says "genetic memory is true" ...

Finished the first two games, but lost interest after that. Paris is a perfect setting for that kind of game. There should be option to play in french language with english subtitles.

the bad dudes, iirc, are actually a cabal of decadent manipulative atheists who are exploiting noble devout men of both sides for their own ends, and the game is about the pious hero's attempt to purge them in the name of decent oppressed servants of god everywhere

it literally ends with you teaming up with king richard who declares you a true servant of jesus and you go off to fight the final boss (a big bearded muslim) in his name. FFS

IIRC the final boss is literally your boss the whole game, isn't he?
