Atomboy I have a question - does the perk Best of the class in the Tinkering tree work retroactively?
They all do!
If it doesn't tell me, I'll do a check!
BUT DONT FORGET THAT SAVE WILL BE WIPED IN 8 DAYS

Hello friend, its not retroactive for previously gained level. PLZ CHECK :)

how is crafting in trudograd? if i remember right it was pretty useless in base game
It wasn't if you based your character around it, craft weapon user was one of the stronger builds in the first game, and new skill tree and a lot more new recipes should make it even more viable in TG!

Congratulations on release team the uniform is beautiful and with medal you do feel like Comrade Zhukov on Red Plaza during 9 of may Victory parade but...

Why the officer version of fur cap has lower stats than normal one? Its cap of Mayor not mere Captain so should be opposite Comrade.

Will play the game later after finishing Encased and buy new support pack ASAP... You are the first team I pay not only fully but extra but not many developers as they say in capitalist west current year have courage to come and engage Codex and have such wonderful contact with fans.

Once more congratulations on release and many more as good as Atom games Comrades Developers.:hero:

Thank you :DDDD
And we'll look into the cap! But if memory serves, while it's weaker as a hat, it is stronger as a tool of Authority and command via increased chatting ability?

Now you've done it!!! The black hole was opened! Turns out one of us thinks that's a bug since it should be retroactive from lvl 15 and onwards, and the other one swears it's a feature and it was nerfed and retroactivity cut out, to be like that due to being OP before.
I will continue this investigation. Might be a case of the Mandela effect.

Ok, I don't want to be 'that guy' but I'm going to anyways. Anyone who has been playing Encased also has this game, can you compare & contrast? Encased starts off strong and apparently just falls off the cliff at some point. Hoping that is not the case here. Also combat is pretty weak in Encased how bout Trudograd? Etc, etc.

Perkons, I have never prayed to you before. I have no tongue for it. No one, not even you, will remember if we were visionary developers or jank farmers. Why we crunched, and why we decided on strange release dates. All that matters is that today, eleven (not counting dozens of freelance artists, qa and fan helpers) stood against many huge releases. Falloutlikes please you, so grant me this one request. Grant me the means to direct at least five more games including a cool combination of sci-fi and high fantasy, and maybe a point and click quest, and a boomer shooter and shit! And if you do not listen, the HELL with you!

Trudograd 1.0 RELEASED!

0eb420293a6ab571dd6acfd8c93d25e02ecd25fe.jpg

Greetings, friends!

The moment has come and
ATOM RPG: Trudograd
has finally been released from Early Access.

We want to use this opportunity to once again state how thankful we are for your ceaseless support, and we can’t wait to read your reviews, critiques, new ideas and suggestions. Trudograd will still grow and develop, so feedback is paramount even after the release.

If you ever stumble upon a bug, please report it on the Steam forum or by sending us your save game to support@atomrpg.com

However, we must warn you that the fact that save files made in Early Access no longer work in 1.0 is not a bug. It is a regrettable, yet completely standard and very important measure made by us in order to guarantee quality support and avoid current and future technological problems with the game.

Apart from that, our team will be on 24\7 stand-by to read your reports and improve the game if any errors are found.

Now, let’s talk about what awaits you in Trudograd. Planned as a small DLC, this game quickly grew thanks to your suggestions, and currently boasts the following traits:
  • Ability to continue playing as your ATOM RPG character - for this you must make a save file after beating ATOM RPG’s last boss and upload it into Trudograd via a helpful menu;
  • A vast open world, containing 45+ populated locations, from a snowy post apocalyptic megapolis and its outskirts to secret Soviet military bunkers, a large pirate tanker in the frozen sea and a mysterious island, among many more;
  • 30+ combat-only locations where players will get to fight tens of foe varieties from mercenaries to merciless mutants;
  • 300+ characters, each with a unique portrait and branching dialogue;
  • 200+ quests, most with multiple solutions and outcomes;
  • Fully voiced visual text quests with branching plots and unique hand made artwork;
  • 100+ models of distinct weaponry with 75+ weapon mods for further customization;
  • 3 unique powered Soviet-style exoskeleton armor suits, with 20+ ways to customize and modify them for any playstyle;
  • 45+ hours of gameplay with heightened replayability compared to our studio’s first game;
  • Original soundtrack;

...And many more additions that make Trudograd a great single player RPG experience!

Now we want to tell you about all the new packs, kits and bundles you might see on our game’s page.

This did not happen often, however we did get messages from people saying they want to wait until the release of Trudograd to check out our original game, ATOM RPG. Probably in order to play both titles one straight after another. For those folks, we have created the special
ATOM RPG 2-in-1 Edition
which features both of our studio’s games. It being a bundle makes it easier to purchase, and allowed us to add a special little discount to boot!

Also, just like with ATOM RPG, we have decided to make an optional purely cosmetic DLC for Trudograd, called the
Supporter Pack
. This kit was made solely for people who wish to support our studio further even after buying our game. The items in it are purely cosmetic and do not affect the player’s experience. They are only there as a small gift of gratitude for additional support, which is always greatly appreciated. Thank you so much!

0b1508ff56ea5e8fe9e5e311c0e1a0f8e4283003.png

Finally, as you know, those of you who supported us in Early Access, received a free cosmetic DLC called
Veteran’s Pack

For those of you who missed this opportunity but still want to have something similar to it, or simply wish to support us, we have made the
War Supply Pack
which features similar items with similar functions.

Just as before, nothing in the War Supply Pack will change, add to or improve your gaming experience with Trudograd. It is simply a cosmetic addition made in thanks for purely optional, additional support.

We really hope you enjoy our game!

Welcome to Trudograd!
And let there be… ATOM!

Just got the supporters pack/DLCs for both this game and Encased.

CRPG goodness out of Russia this month, gonna be good rest of the year for sure.

I did at the very beginning and it was seriously rough around the edges. I more or less didn't play again because I wanted to wait for Trudograd since I guessed it should have been better in every way.

Thank you so much dude!!! Did the same though since I've got a free trudograd dev version, I got a Colony Ship instead. I can already see myself giving all this year's awesome stuff a go in a month or so if the stars align.

I can agree with that, though ATOM also improved with time. We never dropped the original game, and added bits and pieces to it all the time. New text fixes here, new bug fixes there, sudden halloween event in a single player RPG elsewhere, if you still have it give it a twist! I recommend it!

Just play the original Atom.

it's not Mount and Blade or any other combatfag sequel that makes previous games obsolete, it's more akin to Fo1-Fo2 situation where the first game is still worth playing.

ah shit here we go again. i started encased the other day, but I don't see much improvement from the EA in term of polish (especially the bad companion AI and AI in general) might as well abandon it until next year and start ATOM 2nd time instead.

All I remember from original ATOM was lack of bandanas and other rags for homemade meds, found maybe 3 in the whole game and 2 were from last 1/5 of the game?

I just started it to basically check out the graphics (yes, i'm a total graphics whore). First map looks pretty good, nice attention to detail - more clutter and so forth than in the original game i believe. Animations are still so-so with characters not really looking like they're connecting to the ground, looks a bit like they're running in slow motion too. Few games totally nails animations though, especially RPG's. Will play in some months, got an immense backlog..

Does it makes sense to play this one without having played the first game?
In the case of a negative answer, if there are not too many spoilers: why not?

Useless skill in terms of investment. These games have respec potions though (Jesus). Of course it's not entirely useless by itself, I agree although xbow and other crafted stuff could be found in random encounters IIRC, money is NOT an issue and who cares about the beginning in general.

I could tell more in a couple of days but judging by EA experience that is not the case here. Comparing these two games would be a good exercise, yeah. Combat wise TG is much closer to classic Fallout games, same old stuff if slightly enhanced whille Encased has some... deviations. But the biggest difference at least from my perspective is approach to the dialogues and the writing in general. Encased is written quite smoothly, pleasantly and mostly to the point (minus plot-related graphomania). While in TG this aspect is somewhere on the depths of hell level. This is true mostly for Russian version though, from the little I've seen yet, the English one seems to be much more groomed.

I'm gonna pass it on to the modeller, we almost never get any either good or bad feedback for this technical stuff, I guess it's not that noticeable in RPGs, but I think it's still important so thanks!

I dunno. Some players say you have to, I say it's up to you. We tried to follow BG2 here. Like, if you start BG2 before ever playing BG1, sure you won't know any intricacies, like how you met Drizzt, or that hedge wizard turned chicken in the first part, but it explains the meat and potatos of the first part's plot in the first minutes of the game enough so you get the sense of who you are, where you are, where you've been etc. Same in TG. The starting vigniette boils the plot of the first game into basic sentences and presents you with them. You are a guy who works for a secret pre-war military org. Two years ago you discovered that X exists. Now it's 2 years later and you have to go to Trudograd to get Y, because it might help with X. The game isn't so story-centric in my opinion, that you need anything more to play it. As always, the main quest here is an excuse to send you on your adventure and get all the cool side quests and play a lot of Bombagun. Still, the feelings you get starting TG are enhanced if you did play ATOM, so there's that.

First quest: help a guy to kill himself. That's Russia, alright.
Its not what it seeeeems!!!

In that case I'll say about my pet peeve: when you hit reload button while running, char is doing it right away so it looks like legs freeze and you continue to move to the next "tile" by inertia.

And by the way: is there a way to enhance the bombagun deck, get more unique cards? It should be, right? So far I beat the first grandmaster
in razdor village
but it took like 4-5 tries and I wanna strip them from money eventually w/o resorting to savescumming (too early for me to give any feedback on the game itself, learning the ropes for now).

Cool I'll tell him that as well!
Nah, I wanted to keep Bombagun a NCCG - NOT collectable card game! The only difference between Grandmasters and normal players is AI skill and RNG. Some people liked Bombagun so we also made it into an android App, though I'm not adding collectable elements to there as well, I wanna one day make it a card based roguelike instead of CCG.

The items in it are purely cosmetic and do not affect the player’s experience.
... but that's a lie. Or is this suppose to be a little joke?
Okay now we have TWO players who think we were up to something shady when calling the pack items cosmetic. In case you're okay with sharing your opinion on this. how would you feel if we changed the descriptions to the following?

Some items featured in the kit are unique versions of items available in the base game for everyone. While they can make the first few hours of the game easier for certain character builds, they do not have any long term effects on player progression in the long run. The main reason for their creation is to thank you for your support!
