Same here. I somehow do not have the permission to delete my own avatar.

Also of course the current one (Matrix Cubed - Desert Runner) still doesn't show.

Tommy Wiseau You've fallen into the trap. You can't get your old one back. The old system forcing you to use only the gallery has been implemented.
Thats the reason I zipped the avatars on the previous pages, to have a decent selection to choose from.

Yes. But as I said before few of them actually show once selected.

Looks like it does not want to scale up, ie. your avatar is smaller than the window and thus does not show. Haba's avatar is larger, and thus is scaled down and does show. Could that be it ? Because your avatar does show if I click on your username (and has a lot of black border around it, without scaling applied)

EDIT: Theory does not apply, because Tzaero's shows just fine and is also smaller.

Also the problem seems to be that xenforo cannot into gifs, and a lot of avatars (even non-animated ones) are stored as gifs on the server. DU will look into that, one day.

Yep shows up fine (a red worm).
