What does Lore Archivist do? Make sure plot holes are less noticable? Timeline history is in order?
Guerrilla Games advertised something similar a couple of years ago and it seems to be largely organising databases of lore and art and being the first point of contact for lore questions. It sounds like it would be a cool role for something that has decades of writing like a D&D setting, can't imagine it would be too interesting for Horizon or Pillars but each to their own.

I really have my doubts about Dragon Age and VTMB2 launching this fall too.

Of all of these, Dragon Age actually looks the most ready.

Let's face it, they're all gonna get clobbered by Kingdom Cum 2. No contest.

Quality wise sure
But you know damn well the game journo engine is going to pump out articles for their comrade trio while leaving KCD2 in the dust
Going to be a sight to behold

It's too bad bots can't buy games yet. Real astroturfing hasn't been tried.

You know how devs brag about 500k players on gamepass or whatever? Imagine them claiming 50 million copies sold (49.9 million refunded).

It's like how it's an open secret that some New York Times bestsellers just buy their own books.

The New York Times bestseller list is also rigged as fuck and they reject books they don't like. It is completely absurd that the list has any value.

I believe all of this can be called "payola" even though it usually refers to the music industry:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Payola
"The first U.S. Congressional Payola Investigations occurred in 1959,[9] carried out by the House Subcommittee on Legislative Oversight into payola,[10] and prompted by a parallel investigation in the US Senate.[9]

DJ Alan Freed, who was uncooperative in committee hearings, was fired as a result."

"Freed was honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 1991. The organization's website posted this note: "He became internationally known for promoting African-American rhythm and blues music on the radio in the United States and Europe under the name of rock and roll"

"Freed was born to a Welsh-American mother, Maude Palmer, and a Russian Jewish immigrant father"

:hmmm:
