Naw, the positive part of this game is combat, not characters or dialogues.

From the bits I've seen on streams, the dialogue is absolute garbage. The usual 4 different ways for saying the same thing. I wouldn't be surprised if they all lead to the same response too. The smidgens of new lore is a bit interesting though if you cared enough about the first two games. How I wish they'd give this IP to some better writers.

Pillows has never had a good writer in its entire existence, why would they start with Awoked? They're so indifferent to their own IP that they didn't even bother putting PoE as a title/subtitle to this.

I don't think nowadays Bethesda has what it takes to replicate Skyrim success, it's a general downgrade in the industry.

It's not like it's a very high bar they have to climb for improvement. Even Obsidian should be capable of going from garbage writing to okay writing. Definitely not with the team they have right now though.

By the way, there is such a dramatic moment when the city gets burned down, you go to check what the hell is going on 'coz that was a bit unexpected. People are crying along roads, dying or crying about their relatives. You talk to an NPC. The conversation ends and literally in front of you are dead people spread out on beds. With SHINY LOOT EFFECT above their dead bodies. Made me absosulutely KEK this moment.

The quality of artists has declined significantly due to many of them being brainwashed by the education system and even more being driven further off of the deep end by psychotic nutters who gather in swarms to push their biases on any artist who doesn't tow the line.

It's why the 'tumblr art style' has become so common, even in main games. The exaggerated noses, the androgynous and infantile aesthetics, the obsession with ethnic features/dark skin. None of it is natural.
