When it is pointed out that Obsidian has less dynamic interactivity this is hand-waved by Roguey with the answer that such things were never aimed for and it is wrong to judge a game for what it doesn't do, rather than what it aims to do and what it actually does.
If Obsidian didn't want such criticism they shouldn't have made their games look like first person bethesda immersive sim-style to begin with. If they made TOW & Avowed in the style of 3rd action Bioware(ME, DAI) no one woulda criticized them for the lack of such features.

:M

The first person view was inherited from Chris Parker's Skyrim, they just rolled with it.

Bethesda games have optional tp also, it doesn't make them third person games. They wanted to imitate bethesda with TOW & Avowed but they lacked the budget with TOW and chickened out with Avoid when it came to developing the mechanical depth unlike Warhorse with KCD1-2. Now they are even owning it lmao. This, "surface level aping of bethesda + stale Obsidian narrative design" is their style and what they are known for apparently.

Also third-person mods are the go-to experience for Beth fantasy games, they have millions of downloads these retards could simply look at what their customers create and want in their games, but why brain or try 2025.

LoL even the kodex gay party is not taking this game seriously. TransAge GayGuard had bigger list lol.
And it's super easy to end up on that list. I just asked a question about the game. It's like Soviet Russia under Stalin... Someone reports you and you end up on the list to be shot.

Nobody gives a shit about muh physics. Oblivion and Skyrim are absymal games with awful mechanics made by people who do not like or even understand RPGs, and knocking down object doesn't make their shitty walking simulators any better

It's not about physics but lack of any attention to detail. Personally I don't care that much about physics but the way npcs are handled is just horrible. This isn't a indie small budget game and Obsidian no longer gets a free pass.

At least before Obsidian gave us good story with the jank now we get the jank with bad writing. Why some people still defend them is beyond me.

I think this may actually be a slight watershed moment for gaming.

Through such videos, I'm seeing even retarded normies on social media having the penny slowly drop with them that gaming is in big decline, as games which are 10+ years old do lots of things better than those released now.

You can almost hear their single brain cell activating as they watch Avowed do tons of things worse than Skyrim/Oblivion...."Durr...wait a sec...that was better back then!"

I think this was the first video of this kind that really made the normies go "Huh". To be fair, it made me go "huh" too.

It's the same list. More or less. For every slop. By now I know and recoqnize all resident Cyphers by heart. They are ooollld men in their late20s/30s, and after harrrd day of wage slaving they just wanna some slop slurrrrping in peace & quite

It tremendously helps when slop looks like RPG steak. Which people say it's the case with Avowed. I don't even see that. Art direction is slop too

Why would you want to play any Bethesda game in 3rd person? Those games are made with first-person in mind and doing anything in 3rd person, other than checking out how you look in your new armor, is just akward as fuck.
