Women. God I hate women. What can change the nature of a CRPG developer?
See, I honestly think this style of UI would be easily replicable even today, simply by using textures. That Solasta UI looks like a WIP. What. the. fuck.
Arcanum has one of my favorite UIs when it comes to blending the setting into the interface. Basically give me an UI that I can reasonably tie to a distinct RPG as opposed to a racing simulator.

Nah, Bethesda still is king in worst and most useless UII'd say Pillars games had the best UI, it was a good marriage between modern and classic style. Minimalistic where it needs to be, but fancy where possible.
No idea wtf they are doing with Avowed.
Worst UI offender is definitely Larian though.

I remember when CDPR said they admired Rockstar and GTA and wanted to replicate that
I'm gonna assume on age, this began as a Unreal 4 game and Unreal 5 was the first one to really be made for open worlds on a fundamental level. The CDPR tech partnership is strategic to make it even better in that regard.I rather ask myself why these idiots not just one time make their audience happy and just make a fucking open world game
It’s like they have a humiliation fetish or something
They promise a BG clone and when people get hyped they do some other shit. Than they hype people up with Skyrim and do their own shit again nobody wants. Guess what you fuckers you are not some grand artists. Just make games people want to play
You don't really need anyone to answer this, do you?About wizard abilities, will they add some cool illusion spells, cool transmutation spells, cool conjuration spells for summoning weapons and creatures or Wizards will be the generic "magicak artillery" only dude?
Excellent question. I guess that will be the difference between a generic fps fantasy jank game and something that could potentially have some fun twists on the genre and prove to be an interesting game somehow.About wizard abilities, will they add some cool illusion spells, cool transmutation spells, cool conjuration spells for summoning weapons and creatures or Wizards will be the generic "magicak artillery" only dude?
I hope they forgo balance for once and lets us have fun stuff like domination spell that permanently makes one creature you thrall until it dies or you replace it with another.About wizard abilities, will they add some cool illusion spells, cool transmutation spells, cool conjuration spells for summoning weapons and creatures or Wizards will be the generic "magicak artillery" only dude?
Obisidan kept hyping up Skyrim so chances are its going to be janky and boring just like Skyrim. I honestly wouldn't put much stock in Obsidian even being able to make good first person combat let alone an engaging magic system. Besides Fallout: New Vegas I can't remember any good first person games they made.About wizard abilities, will they add some cool illusion spells, cool transmutation spells, cool conjuration spells for summoning weapons and creatures or Wizards will be the generic "magicak artillery" only dude?

Well, looking at the skill tree I doubt there's any room for more spells after fireball, icebolt, lightning and their variations...

Sounds so boring, a lesser magic missile has 15 seconds cooldown... Seems like they are trying really hard to make magic as boring as possible.
