don't treat 5e like 3.5e++, treat it like 2e with houserules

If you want to ruin a 5E table, get a fighter Dex build, human variant for that sweet Feat to get Sharpshooter, then go for Archery fighting style and then get the Crossbow Expert feat and you will be OP in no time, kinda falls off after level 7 or so.

The strong negative reaction of BG fans after the unveiling was certainly interesting.

I found this JPG on /r/baldursgate/ after the reveal. These days the subreddit pretends that BG3 doesn't even exist, all posts are either about BG1 or BG2.

Nah I really like BG2 and both Pathfinder games. I even like Pillars 1 and 2. There are so many rtwp rpgs that a faithful D&D adaptation is fresh air.

BG3 has an adapted rule set, just like in BG1 and BG2. Sword Coast Legends is the D&D RPG that was not faithful to the rule set.

All said, Meredoth has played BG3 much more than me, so maybe he can tell us which game is more faithful to D&D.
