First impressions from when I played earlier:
Turn-based Dragon Age: Origins, but with (a fairly decent) D&D implementation.
The story is better than D:OS. The cinematics are decent.
Of course, the evidence of Decline is there. No alignment choice at the beginning, fairly simple start.
Default option for humans is a negro, as usual. I know there's other woke stuff later on, but this is about as woke as I've seen so far.
All in all, not bad so far. Not Baldur's Gate exactly, but not terrible. Probably going to be worth it in the end as a typical semi-AAA RPG. Probably.
Also, while the game managed to make me dislike most of my companions, I didn't hate most of them badly enough to kill them. Mostly. I killed the wizard lol. (Hopefully the game won't force him back to life later. Signs that may happen already.)
