Apparently it's $60 bad.So how bad it is exactly?

FWIW they said the good-aligned companions will be added later. I have no idea if that means later during EA or if they'll only get added upon the game's full release. The constant rolling gets old extremely fast.
I talk to a dwarf lady who claim she can cure me and instead trying to stab me with a poisoned wood. I rolled a 6 in a Agility check despite having 16 agility. Now I must pass three dialogue check in a row, each with a 50% succeed rate, to persuade her to give me the cure. I reload a dozen times and never make it. It's like the game is forcing make me murder this bitch.
It's gonna be extremely hard to play a good character, the game will force you to kill person you don't want to kill because you had a bad roll. All of the companions (except Gale I suppose) are evil doesn't help either.
Also it's hilarious that shadow heart tries to hide what she is up to and who she is worshipping, but in the character info page they straight up shows evil cleric on it.
I couldn't be bothered reloading for failing rolls. If someone wants to win every roll, why not just enable a cheat engine or something?
- Punishing dialog with frequent feat rolls practically demands save-scumming
game will need a mod changing this shit to deterministic
Name recognition, any fuckng name recognition, is the most valuable thing to marketers. They market to absolute lowbrow morons, bottomfeeder trash.people who think larian is the one profiting off of name recognition here are insane
dos2 has been one of the best selling games on Steam for years now, there hasn't been a D&D-licensed singleplayer RPG worth mentioning for two decades.

Here, have an elf waifu.
Maybe... Still I spent 2h trying to make them understand the difference between conjuration and evocation for flame effects that make absolute no sense... but unfortunately as I was saying subtlety before and as I can be less subtle now, there is not a single DD5 player in the game decision makers...
There are video game players that have a caricatural idea of what a pen and paper rp game should be based on their crpg experience...
Therefore they're trying to implement stuff that make no sense but they are certain that's how it should be.
And WOTC doesn't help because they agree to everything as long as money arrive...
Pressing spacebar skips the dice rolling animation.I couldn't be bothered reloading for failing rolls. If someone wants to win every roll, why not just enable a cheat engine or something?

you are not winning if you don't meet the req check.
also whole dice roll process is painfully slow, it will get old pretty fast, they need to at least make it faster/instant, optionally or whatever
This is as surprising as the sky being blue. The devs are just as clueless as the cucks choking on their limpdicksTranslated an interesting post from former Larian dev on french forums CanardPc:

does hitting space also roll the dice or do you still have to left-click to roll?
Trading one garbage dev for another aint gonna change a thing. We have to just get the BG fix from our russian overlords pathfinder. This should have been made by Beamdog.

The way companions joined you is already super forced, just like in DOS2. 4 of 5 companions just standing in some random place near the starting point and ask to join you the moment you meet them because "we were both on that ship".
If they add just 3 more companions it will feel like the starting area is crawling with them. It's just dumb to let you play as one of the companions.

One of their older dev posts said you'd have to commit to your choice of [origin] party members after act 1.FWIW they said the good-aligned companions will be added later. I still do hope that they're planing to create more unique companions later on, or at least temporary ones for each act, who don't come with a complex origins story, just for the sake of having more variety with mixing and matching your party without resorting back to soulless mercenaries from DiV2.
I think the way this was done in DOS2 was by opening four game clients and starting a multiplayer game with yourself. Maybe try that?I really really want to be able to start the game with full custom party right away. Maybe there's a way to cheat it somehow.
That would be way too much fun.I really really want to be able to start the game with full custom party right away. Maybe there's a way to cheat it somehow.
