Tentacles -> Kraken -> possible Waterdeep connection

Funny you mention that...

and recently released D&D "RPG":

When Waterdeep, the greatest city on the Sword Coast, is threatened on all sides by powerful forces, Laeral Silverhand summons heroes from across the world to fight in the deadliest locations and defeat the enemy before they reach the city gates.

From your starting point in the famous Yawning Portal Inn, you'll choose your heroes, fight monsters, collect treasure, and reach new heights of adventure in the Forgotten Realms.

Stragglers here are just waiting for them to announce MCA's working on the game to join
:hype:
Actually, I think it's highly likely that he at least contributed.
Because when Fargo leaked BG3, Avellone immediately reacted with something along the lines of "well done, Brian...." - he was obviously very annoyed, therefore he was in the loop.

This is going to suck. I can't imagine how Larian humour and art style will work out well as BG.
I mean Baldur's Gate isn't deadly serious grimdark adventuring non-stop, you know. You get your cheesy D&D villainy but you also get your DM laughing into his Cheetos and making joke encounters. I agree that there isn't really any reason to make a Baldur's Gate 3 since the story's done but Larian's silliness isn't completely out of character for the franchise.

Tired: Turn-based Larian RPG with misguided fan service, dated throwbacks and semi-decent D&D 5e implementation.

Wired: A modernized Neverwinter Nights with an easy-to-use editor ushering in a new era of player-made content and persistent worlds.
Yessir, this hope is the main reason I'm interested. DOS2 came so close while skirting around dedicated server capability. It would be a natural evolution and I want it harder than a nymph wants a goliath.

Great minds think alike and feature avatars from the same game.

Me: I can't live in a world with substandard CRPGs.

Larian: I know. It’s all wrong. By rights we shouldn’t even be here. But we are. It’s like in the great stories, Mr. Birdman The ones that really mattered. Full of darkness and danger they were. And sometimes you didn’t want to know the end; because how could the end be happy? How could the world go back to the way it was when so much bad had happened? But in the end, it’s only a passing thing -- this shadow. Even darkness must pass. A new day will come. And when the sun shines it will shine out the clearer. Those were the stories that stayed with you, that meant something, even if you were too small to understand why. But I think, Mr. Birdman, I do understand. I know now. Folk in those stories had lots of chances of turning back only they didn’t. Because they were holding on to something.

Me: What are we holding on to, Larian?

Larian: That there’s Baldur's Gate III in this world, Mr. Birdman. And it’s worth funding.

Larian's humour is just as bad as Beamdog's writing.

Have we ever battles an actual Kraken in an RPG ever? PoE1's one is pathetic.
No,because it is underwater creature and there are no that creative people in the industry. Drakensang river of time did have one from what i remember, but but it was nothing amazing. Risen2 did had one also.
