I got an email today for something that I forgot I signed up for a long time ago...

Congratulations!

You have been selected to participate in F.E.A.R. Online's Beta test.

The nightmare is here. Now's your chance to head to the front lines, battling against enemy soldiers and the aftermath of Project Origin.

Redeem the code provided in this email and steady your nerves as the F.E.A.R. consumes you.

When I've heard about this thing for the first time I was sure they are just going to re-relase the Fear Combat, maybe with renewed assets and a couple of new gimmicks.
And yet, they've managed to create this atrocity. Its just revolting, I have no other words to describe that.
They have no copyrights for fear combat or did they just try to reinvent the wheel and ended up with broken pogostick?

I want to know the value of an avatar, a title and a credit listing.

Worth over $750 of meaningless titles and pictures! Your life has never been so empty before!

Not much. Forum titles, full name on credits and such are usually given as symbolic thanks for the people who spend that much on the game. I don't think anyone pays specifically for them.

The relics (in-game items?) and season pass probably don't cost much either. So most of the value must come from the limited edition figurine. It will probably sell for a lot on Ebay.

I love my Warhammer 40k games.
But this? No.
Bad port all the way. And it doesn't even support widescreen.
Co-op is broken in all senses. Can't even plug in a second controller.
They both move the first character. Even if one is using a keyboard.
Haha. Oh wow.

If it weren't for the title and the pictures of EXTREME ALMA in all those loading screens, I would not think for a second that this has anything to do with FEAR.

I remember when they used to remove "lol it's a parody games" from greenlight now they just release them straight to store mo' money is mo' money right?
More like completely given up on quality control. It's probably costing them money since people are less likely to make impulse purchases when there's a high chance of getting complete crap.

Worst are hipster sites like RPS who recommend those shitty games to the sheep that reads them, today you are cool if you play Goat Simulator.

I hope one day they make Sheep Simulator, it will consist of a sheep that spends the day reading RPS and buying Apple products.
