It's a hidden encounter included in "Custom Health and AP Visuals" mod. The worst part is that it is forced on you by the author (it's switched on by design, to turn it off you have to set a certain variable in a 'ini' file to 0). :roll:

Are there any recent RPG games like Divinity that are simpler and more linear? and perhaps shorter. I just feel like I'm too busy to really get into most games of this genre.

Shorter, yes. More linear - fuck off. The genre is about player choice, linearity has no place in it.

Look at the upcoming Space Wreck, it's intentionally short but extremely non-linear. Less than 10 hours for a single playthrough but you can play it more than 7 times and always get a different playthrough.

Fallout 1 is very short.
