Well, for all the sick twisted fucks on TVT the video game forums have plenty of people fighting the good fight for RPGs.

The Skyrim thread isn't completely full of jerking off and there's quite a lot of criticism about the game- at least, compared to most other sites.

I remember them systematically removing any and all criticism of Oblivion last time I bothered to look. I liked TVTropes initially for being laid-back and self-deprecating - I poke fun at stuff I love all the time, and it seemed to be something they did a lot of - but they even started blitzing that sort of thing.

Well then, might I have some explanation as to what's so nice about boobs?

You know, while a little bit more round than the penis, boobs seem to be an awfully phallic attraction. According to this thread, people like how boobs produce milk, a white, sticky fluid.

Yes, penis is often longer and less round, but it seems like in terms of big, people prefer wider penises, not longer. And the same do heterosexual men(and maybe lesbian women?) seem to like. Round, big, pieces of meat that stick out and produce white fluid, to stick into their mouthes. Sounds pretty phallic, to me. You'd think that people who liked large boobs would also be into penis.

Oh yes, and the nipples are kind of like a penis head, too. Especially if they're feminine and big and puffy nipples. How, very, phallic. Yes.

I love how the guy seems to think it's really creepy when all it really shows is how sad he must be to have to drag around these annoyingly ragdoll models amidst irritating controls.

This is the most disturbing thing I have seen. I've never been one for censorship of video games, but this might convert me. Though there's not much one can do in this game to prevent this, open as it is.

PARENTS: THIS IS NOT A MISSION. THIS IS NOT IMPLIED AS AN ACTIVITY. THIS IS ONE GUY WHO IS FUCKING WEIRD. DON'T DENY THEM SKYRIM BECAUSE OF THIS. I suggest you play the game yourself or watch them play to see if it is appropriate. But don't use this as a meter please.

Indeed. It makes me depressed to think there's not enough fire to kill it all.

Well, what would be the Holy Trinity then? The Codex, what else, ITS, 4chan, TESF?

Oh yeah and from first hand experience when you're really really depressed you stop caring what the sex of your potential mate would be.
But do you stop caring about it if it is about trannies and scat?

That was my conclusion about Nomask. I got the idea that he was actually straight and just really in need of human contact.

Speaking of TvTropes, this. Just...this.

I mean holy shit.

It's like he was baptized in the murky, unidentifiable fluids of GD.

Also, the latest comment:

No wonder RPGs fucking suck these days. They're all made for people like that guy.

Surely there are better quotes, but this one is memorable for mentioning a "Ed".

Meh, I think the narrator overacts, it makes it less funny. He should talk more like the guy in my avatar and change tone when it starts getting too alien.

Yeah, unfortunately the main pages are like that, most of the hate is edited out by some butthurt troper.

On the other hand, threads like the FNV one is full of people dissing Fallout 3 so the situation isn't all bad.

Yeah that's the problem with this series, the voices are pretty bad and in a lot of ways ruin the ridiculously lulzy content.

Once again I'm going to say what all of you know I repeat over and over again: I don't like RPGs. The truth is actually that it's the more standard RPGs that I cannot get into, and yes, I know there are those of you out there that would be surprised that I actually went through a bit of Final Fantasy XIII, but in the end, I just fizzled out due to sheer boredom. I'm sorry people, I just don't get them. I don't like going through menu after menu of commands, waiting for my characters to perform their actions, only to end up being ambushed by monsters with their cheapest spells until I end up dead.

Thankfully, times are changing, as now I'm enjoying the FPS/RPG hybrid model which is so popular. Even though I've played excellent hybrids like this before, Ultima Underworld and both System Shock games easily come to mind, it was the work that Bethesda Softworks has done in this field over the past few years that ends up ruining many a holiday rush season. All I want to do is play them, to the detriment of everything else.

Why I don't feel welcome at Kotaku

I've got a real knee-slapper for you. Make sure you're sitting down and aren't drinking anything when you read this. The following was written by Mattie Brice who, in her own words at The Border House, is a "multiracial, polysexual, relationship-flexible transgender woman."

Mattie Brice said:
I'm part of the gaming community, but Kotaku doesn't see me as a gamer. No, instead I'm a multi-racial transgender who-knows-sexual possibly-feminist woman gamer. A boogie monster. Someone who uses too many –isms and –ists in their daily tweets to actually enjoy anything. I don't think I've ever had anyone ask what it's like to be me in this pocket of society.
