Imagine the outcry if they added attributes back for Hammerfell.

"You are a Redguard, the wiry haired denizen of one of the dumbest places for a peasant to live in Tamriel. Redguards are suspicious of whitey's magic, but their low intelligence makes them easy to train in his majesty's legions, where the Redguard's warlike spirit has enriched many provinces."

A few years ago, Bethesda worked with Behaviour Interactive to release a management sim based on the Fallout franchise. It was fine. Then earlier this week, Warner Bros. announced a mobile management sim based on the HBO TV series Westworld. We thought the game looked fairly similar to Fallout Shelter.

And so did Bethesda — a little too similar.

Bethesda filed a suit in a Maryland’s U.S. District Court stating, that the Westworld game features “the same copyrighted computer code created for Fallout Shelter.”

Bethesda goes on to say that a bug featured in an early version of Fallout Shelter even appears in this mobile version of Westworld on Android.

Fallout’s publisher is seeking a jury trial and damages for copyright infringement, breach of contract and misappropriating trade secrets.

This looks pretty bad for Behaviour and Warner Bros. Bethesda contracted with Behaviour under a work-for-hire agreement to develop Fallout Shelter, and these kind of publisher contracts generally limit developers from using the technology developed for one game on other projects. Bethesda likely has a pretty solid case here, so this suit could affect the official release of the Westworld game.

So, I was looking at some books and this thing popped up:

Craft your own glass of Nuka-Cola, a bowl of BlamCo Mac & Cheese, and more with the recipes in Fallout: The Official Cookbook.

Based on the irradiated delicacies of the world of Bethesda Entertainment’s Fallout, this Vault-Tec–approved cookbook provides fans of the award-winning series with recipes inspired by their favorite Fallout foods. Whip up tasty versions of the Mirelurk egg omelette, throw some deathclaw meat on the grill, and re-create BlamCo Mac & Cheese with Fallout: The Official Cookbook.

Oh there are several more planned including one about the History of the Fallout franchise which we know will not be written in favor of Bethesda.

Next to that there is also a board game planned (separate from the RPG) and other pieces of jun... I mean merchandise.

Seeing the amount of shit Bethesda puts out with a fallout label makes me fucking depressed. Its all garbage. If it had been genuinely good and interesting things fine.. but Stickers? Fridge Magnets? Monopoly? Are you fucking retarded.
Sad thing is you know some idiot somewhere bought these.

And yet they do all this shit. Still no Plushy Death Claw. What the hell.

New publishing arm in Russia, NOT a new BGS studio: https://www.gamesindustry.biz/articles/2018-10-12-bethesda-opens-russia-office

Bethesda opens Russia office
Headed up by Simeon Chirikov, the new office will oversee sales and marketing for Russia and CIS

Bethesda Softworks has today announced the opening of an office is Moscow, Russia.

Headquartered in Rockville, Maryland, Bethesda has international offices in London, Frankfurt, Paris, Eindhoven, Hong Kong, and Tokyo.

The newly opened office will oversee sales and marketing across Russia and the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS).

In a statement, Bethesda said the new office underpins its commitment to its global publishing operations.

It will be headed up by Simeon Chirikov, who joins Bethesda as managing director for Russia.

Chirikov, an alumni of Electronic Arts and Wargaming, has previously acted as a consultant for Bethesda.

"The opening of the office in Moscow is a very exciting moment for Bethesda," said European managing director Sean Brennan

"We have an incredible roster of upcoming games... Simeon's extensive knowledge of the Russian and CIS markets will help us to maximise and deliver upon all these titles' potential."
