Don't let the fanboys here gaslight you, Blasphemous 1 might look really nice but it's a janky piece of shit and everything you said about the controls is 100% correct. I gave up not too long after you did. MAYBE it gets better after another four hours or whatever, but what I'd seen thus far gave me no incentive to find out. Life is short.

git gud, scrub
good thing they got filtered early. the late bosses are actually sort of challenging. would have been a shame to invest hours to just give up at the end.

I am fucking terrible at gaming, and like Blasphemous 1 was almost too easy? Maybe it's like how idiots are good at poker vs. professionals or something? But I don't think I would say the problem with Blasphemous 1 is controls, unless I'm so retarded that my retardation adapts to the retardation of the game and our wavelengths sync, which absolutely could be the case.

I'm finding 2 to be harder because most of the bosses have insane amounts of orb spam. I'll finish it in a couple days though because I'm not a total scrub.

The game is excellent, git gud faggots.
Uninstalled. Game made me destroy my switch controller. Maybe design your game better next time spic faggots. I don't tolerate bullshit.

Your fault for using that janky piece of crap as a controller.

I went back later and breezed through that area. I play like garbage when I'm pissed off. I don't take back what I said about the controls though. They need to be more snappy and the blind pitfalls are still incredibly lame.

It is annoying how little the camera moves with the right stick when trying to look around, at least in 2, especially coming from The Last Faith. I can't even remember if you could look around in 1 with the right stick. Also the spikes are not really an issue in 2 and I only died to them like 2 times the whole game, just to let you know in case you are considering playing that game, which I believe is better even though they changed the style of the cutscenes. Also in 2 I don't think there are many parts (maybe one small part) if any where there are ladders above spikes which is indeed pure cancer in 1.

I cannot in good faith recommend Blasphemous 2 sadly as it does not respect the players time with it's unskippable dialogue when facing a boss even after your first attempt over and over, it's not the biggest deal for most of the game but for the hardest boss it is particularly egregious in it's length which will add up if you have many tries. If this sounds intolerable to you definitely skip 2. I'm beating the game tomorrow but the next game this studio makes I'll definitely be checking the discussion page on steam and searching the term 'unskippable' to see if players are bringing up this issue before I buy.

Yeah, that's a really annoying blemish in an otherwise all-around improved sequel. But on the other hand, you'll learn useful phrases like "y vos... sereis el ultimo!" & "mi penitencia aun no ha terminado" from the one-handed stigmata man for your next South American trip.

I wish the devs would respect our time. I took at least 10 tries to beat that boss and the dialogue added up for one fight is 30 seconds which adds up to 5 minutes for my ten tries. That's time I could have been fighting him and better learning his moves. I agree that it is improved in most aspects. The different weapons used for different types of traversal and mini puzzles is great and to me is the highlight of the game. My two main gripes is the unskippable dialogue and the orb spam that a lot of the bosses have but I think there was a reason they made it this way, probably something to do with one of the weapons not having parry so they didn't want the player to feel required to parry with bosses so they just added a shit ton of orbs instead of parriable attacks. Let me know if this sounds stupid.

The biggest con for Blasph 1 (don't know if this has been patched/changed) is that you need to finish it once before you can experience the DLC content. This sucks, b/c the dlc adds several great new boss fights and areas to explore. On the other hand, the campaign isn't that long to begin with + the combat isn't crazy difficult.

Do you need ng+ for dlc too this time?
But I've played through Blasphemous 1 first time last year and there was a lot of DLC content in it. The shipwrecks with the anchor faggots who hit like a ton of bricks and all that...
