Well, now it is the new and improved +AG Minotaur, so BEWARE. Or did You just take a normal skill instead of the stat raise, UP?

The first post seem to contain wrong information on steam names of the players. E.g. it contains the name "Grotsnik" instead of "grotty". But at least you can guess that. Now I am to play Paavi (= Demnogonis), whose steam name is supposedly "Telocvovim". But there's no "Telocvovim" in the league.

Steam has this weird quirk that your "Steam name" and "Display name" isn't the same. My Steam name (the one you'd use to add me) could be UglyHighElf while the name displayed on your friendlist could be BeautifulOrcHarlot.

Goddamnit. How to access the hidden names? E.g. where is "Grotsnik" displayed? When I click on "grotty" profile, I don't see "Grotsnik" anywhere. So how am I to tell which one of you guys is "Telocvolvim"?

edit: and why put the unseen names in the first post of the thread instead of the names which are displayed in the Steam group menu and which can be used, you know, to identify the players?

Only very few people - Memestream if I remember correctly, for example - have different names. Sometimes people don't even know themselves. And I don't know anymore than what I've told ya :/

Thanks. Still, after clicking on "Memestream" I still have no idea what his "secret" name is and if it is "Telocvolvim". Sent a PM to Demnogonis, after he revealed himself in this thread - had he not done so I'd have no way of guessing that he's my opponent, due to the uninformative first post! For example, my Steam account name is "elwro" but the name which is displayed in the group is "elwro1", and this is what is displayed in the first post, as it should be - no idea why people would do the opposite...

(BB) Paavi = (Codex) Demnogonis = (Steam) vikahosto.

All right, applied. If somebody loses to my vampires, I'm so going to make fun of them.
Steam : Telocvovim
Coach name : Paavi Kuppainen XIV
He gave his Steam login (Telocvovim), which is constant and unique but invisible to others - instead of Steam name (vikahosto), which You can change any time, or even remove at all, but is Your identifier for other people (and this is some really stupid shit).

Thanks! Yes, I know from Grunker that he did precisely that. I simply have no idea why he did that - I must be missing something, but how could one infer he was "vikahosto"?

OK, so it seems I cannot send a message via Steam until we're friends :D Makes sense, I guess...

Well, obviously I have never had much use for Steam, it's just this crap you had to install with HL2.
Sure. It's the same with me and New Vegas. I'll try to be there tomorrow if the Dutch celebrations don't go in the way.

The reason that my Steam ID differs from my Blood Bowl ID is that I registered my Blood Bowl key prior to having Steam installed. I also don't have Blood Bowl linked to my steam account.

I suppose we should probably have our forum ID mentioned in the first post in order to be fully comprehensive.

The Furious Furries vs Numerical Misery

It's a great day for Blood Bowl as, inside the Undead's crypt pitch - it's pouring with rain. The Furries win the toss and decide to recieve - a slow maul with a Turn 8 score the aim, injuring as many of the soft elves as posible on the way.

Turn 1, Pussycat leaves Morg 'n' Thorg close to the edge of the pitch. I eye it up - moving Mrasly Mantle in for the assist and blitzing with Fluffy who bulldozes the Ogre into the crowd for a KO. Screamer also KO'd a linesman.

:yeah:

Predictably, Plaguebearer fumbles the ball but manages to pick it up next turn and moves up centrally into a proper cage. 13, the Wardancer, KO'd Prickly Mantle. The Elves spread themselves wide open in a manner better suited to Pussycat's old Amazon players, not defending at all, and the Furries take advantage, entering Numerical Misery's half. His only real chance to stop a Furry touchdown is a -2d blitz that fails and Plaguebearer waltzes in for a turn 8 touchdown. Things are more interesting in the centre of the pitch, Tazhain and 99 are KO'd on the Wood Elves side but 13 kills Shi-fagors. First blood! I let the useless bastard die as all he's achieved in 9 games is 1 TD and being KO'd 3 times - decline will not be tolerated.

The Furious Furries 1 - 0 Numerical Misery

Turn 8 - kick off event is a blitz which achieves nothing. The elves fail to pick up the ball and the half ends.

Half-time

All KO'd players have woken up. The Furries line up as a wall on the LoS with two sweepers back in case any catchers break through. Prickly Mantle runs up and kicks the ball into a perfect position on the line of scrimmage. :incline:

Morg 'n' Thorg knocks down Mrasly Mantle and squares up against Screamer on the Furries right flank but Numerical Misery can't make it count where it matters - 5 fails a pick-up roll and the ball bounces into a good position for the Furries. The elves can't stand up to the Chaos team and are batted away, Seeker picking up the ball and KO'ing 5 who tried a -2d block on him and then 50 is pushed off the pitch. The mercenary Aethmice is killed after a failed dodge and Numerical Misery are in a terrible position. Morg 'n' Thorg stuns Screamer but Manboon pins him in position for 3 turns while the Furries grind up Numerical Misery's right flank. 13 survives one gang-rape by four Furry players but sucumbs to a bad back on the second go; the apothecary saves her but the game is beyond Numerical Misery now. The elves can't stop the Furries rolling maul, failing a couple of very ambitious dodges, and Screamer strolls in for to make it 2-0 on Turn 16.

The Furious Furries 2 - 0 Numerical Misery

:yeah:

Furries MVP: Plaguebearer - unstoppable run in the 1st half and held back Morg 'n' Thorg late in the 2nd half.
Misery MVP: 13 - a kill and a KO to her name in the 1st half. 2nd half she was dealt with tastefully by half of the Chaos team.

The elves didn't even touch the ball. :smug:

Sadly, as the Furries are a bunch of fucking pansies, no blood :decline:

The match between The Decliners and Legends Outworn was full of beautiful drives, long direct passes, great ball handling - oh wait, we're talking about blood bowl here!

Thanks for the validation and forget my complaints about the cash re-roll bug. It just got me 70k instead of 20k, so I'm starting to like it.

Also, Dolph Lundgren the Tomb Guardian got the MVP, which was sufficient for a level up. He rolled a double, so hello there, Block.
:yeah:
That said, he will probably die in the next match, but whatever.
