It's vihakosto, obviously.

I've already versed my reservations about the layout and content of the original post a page or two back, but not so eloquently as you have ;)

'sup Exmit, I exist to please.

I'm away the weekend and I'm not so sure if BB will run on my mom's crap laptop (you know how middle-aged women just mix well with computers), but I'll try. I could play today but that would have to be real soon, or possibly very early tomorrow morning.

Bah! Orcs. I guess I'll be drinking whiskey instead of beer.

The Decliners vs. Alpha Brotocol

For the fourth time in a row the ogres get to kick first. It's a high kick which is caught by Peter Molyneux. Setting the stage for an awful first half for my ogres beastly Priestly injures the only level 2 ogre, Michael Brorton. The cage advances to the LoS. I try a snotling throw but fumble because of all those disturbing presences. My ogres can't break armor at all. A blitzing warrior downs another ogre and makes room for the cage to advance. I try to stop the cage with my two not outmaneuvered ogres but they again fail to do damage because of Foul Appearance. 4 rolls, 3 1s so far. Also I fail to screen my ogres properly with my snotlings so he gets enough assists to down them again. My ogres fail to stop the advancing cage because they cannot into breaking armor. The Nurglites destroy some snotlings and advance even further and again no ogre retaliation. Fuzz Aldrin KOs a Todd Howard with a foul, though but is sent off. Another ogre is stunned and Molyneux is past Alpha Brotocol's defenses. Only Bronrad Marburg can stop him now my dodging away from a pestigor and blitzing Molyneux. He makes the dodge but I forget about Molyneux' dodge skill and don't reroll the dice (stumble, pushed). 3 more snotlings get injured. He stops before the TD line so I can still down a cage corner and force a block or dodge to score. But I get two 1s on my bone-head roll and he scores. On my last turn I try to even the numbers a bit instead of going for a TTM. Probably wouldn't have succeeded with all those disturbing monstrosities around. Marburg succeeds by injuring a rotter with a both-down for the first armor break caused by ogres in this game. Mighty Blow my ass.

1-0 I didn't stand a chance due to bad snotling positioning, some bad reroll decisions and my ogres terrible blocks. Only 6 downs and 1 armor break speak volumes. Bone-head and Really Stupid rolls being pretty average, Foul Appearance struck surprisingly often though (3/4) which explains the bad ogre blocks a bit.

11vs7 in the second half as the KOed warrior returns. I regain my hope when Konstantin Broyko stuns Priestly. So the can hurt after all! A snotling picks up the ball. And try to bait him with a snotling he can only reach by going for it once. Maybe he won't notice. :D He blitzes him but sadly doesn't fail the GFI. Two ogres get taken down on my right flank. Molyneux gets KOed by Broyko and Unlimited Ammo eats Marburgs fist, resulting in a serious concussion. Yes, these aren't the sissy ogres from the first half any more. 9vs7. The ball carrier advances on the left flank only reachable with to GFIs. After burning a reroll he is taken down and knocked out. For some reason I decide to block before picking up the loose ball. The result is an (attacker down, both down) which I reroll into double skulls. Bronald McNair, the snotling closest to the ball, evades to blows by a warrior and a beastman. Priestly goes for it to take the snotlings near the ball out of the game but fails. McNair picks it up and dashes along the side line as fast as he can. Marburg pushes Kotick away and tries to stall the beastman and warrior back in the ogre half, which I could have done way better in retrospect, since the beastman can reach him without even rerolling or dodging. Ellison Bronizuka gets in Koticks way, forcing him to GFI if he wants to blitz McNair. For some reason he blitzes with Kotick and doesn't take the both down neither on the first roll not on the reroll. To add insult to injury a warrior with block goes down in a 1d block. Terrible turn for the Decliners. McNair runs toward the endzone, not going for it though because I try to push one of the two beastman out of bounds by moving Broninzuka to McNairs old spot and blitzing with Marburg, who has to dodge away from the Beast. Sadly he fails even with a reroll. Kotick now has the last chance to stop needing to dodge once but again McNair evades once again. He survived two block before picking up the ball and three(counting rerolls) after.

Bronald McNair dodges away and equalizes. Like a bro.

9vs7 again. The ball bounces out of bounds and Priestly grabs it being on the LoS. Gaider rerolls a skull into another skull and the turn already ends. Marburg KOs another rotter. Pete Hines dashes in a position to receive but he is no threat being to slow to reach the TD line in two turns. Broyko injures the takes down Priestly, who is only badly hurt but regenerates anyway. Gaider tries to exact revenge on McNair but fails the GFI and the game's over.

In the second half the ogres finally decided to hurt their opposition. I was able to down twice as many chaos players as in the first half and almost broke armor half of the time. Still I was terribly lucky with McNair. The odds not getting a single defender down on all those five blocks are around 6,5%. Counting only the three blocks after picking up the ball 19,3%. That still doesn't explain why he didn't take a both down, when he got it. Twice even. So I didn't feel that bad scoring due to a lucky spree. But that's also part of the game. Happened to me twice last season with roughly the same odds.

@Elwro: I can play sunday no problem. Let's agree that we'll play whenever we're both on Steam, but make sure we're both on Steam at 21:00 GMT+2 in case we miss each other before that?

So, I've been playing around with Blood Bowl manager, and as I already am somewhat of an unofficial replay gathering guy, I decided to upload our matches and get some stats.

Some statistics are not full/accurate, mostly due to absent (I'm looking at You, Dirk Diggler, You damn tranny) and damaged replays, but maybe anyone finds this interesting anyway.

Unfortunately, embedding BBManager images doesn't work on The Codex, giving the following result:

ImageDay.aspx

so all I can offer is a bunch of links:

Matchdays results:
MD #1
MD #2
MD #3
MD #4

Current standings (no groups, sorry)

Teams' Hall of Fame: image - iframe

Players' Hall of Fame: image - iframe

The (rather impressive) Graveyard: image - iframe

These update in real time as I watch and upload replays, so if You want to have easy access to them, copy the URLs, or something. Unless Mantiis decides to embed them into the first post.

But what's up with root's team three hundred something SPP?

Haven't noticed that.
I've been using in-built hero teams to create faux replays to upload and edit for the missing ones. BBmanger took data from them, so root's team has a fuckload of SPPs because of that.
I will correct it soon, when I find a way.

edit: Corrected it... somewhat. Stats still list his team as having 101 SPPs, which doesn't add up. Literally. If we add up all Badass Motherfuckers' SPPs on players' hall of fame the sum is nowhere near 101. Oh well.
edit2: Now it dropped to 62. WTF.
edit3: Ok, I understood finally. Root's Badass Motherfuckers had some games played before the league, and his team actually now has 85 SPPs, so the stats are more or less right.

Fine, here's the very boring replay of the game between me and kyuss, didn't realize you were using them to compile the stats:
http://dl.dropbox.com/u/15346279/Replay ... 2-23-28.db
Well, I wasn't using them for stats until yesterday.
Anyway, thanks for the replay. It's one of those I'm definitely going to watch, as I love seeing Jezebel and Delilah in action.

@hoverdog: Yeah, Your team is among the most efficient ones in the league. I think You also have the most experience gained (not counting carry-over teams).

Deso vs Shuma.

http://www.megaupload.com/?d=LKQC5X0T

Other than a double dice block with an attacker down and both down re-rolled into a both down and attacker down, and a failed go for it, my luck wasn't so bad on this one.

For fucks sake I HAVE to have run out of bad luck after the previous two games.

Shuma's dice weren't very kind to him (not on my level of bad luck, though), but I think he's a better player, so it kinda of evened out...

Surely my little love-taps helped out a little bit. :smug:
