He is in the Eurofag bracket which is easier than the Kwa bracket.

On which fantastical assumption do you base this obviously perposterous claim?

I believe that might not be the correct file. It shows as Shuma vs deso match in my game.

Yeah, thanks for the game! Here's the replay: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/1554329/Day_4_D ... Hotties.db

(Grunker: Dead Money, Necro, TV 1550
Me: The Hottentot Hotties, Ama, TV 1000.)

So, a quick write-up since I don't have much time: I took Morg but used him like an idiot, putting him near the zombies on the LoS. So in the first kickoff I used him as a regular lineman, my bad. Anyway, 3 times after a kickoffs in the match Grunker got an extra team reroll, and he had one extra reroll right from the start (even though I bought one from petty cash). While Morg was idly fighting zombies in the center and 3 of my guys were fighting a flesh golem to the right, the two furry abominations (werewolves) and other forces made a hole at my left side I was unable to patch. I might've stood a chance, I guess, if not for a very bad decision of a 1d block at a wight, ending with my guy down, and the wight free next turn to blitz one of my defenders and clear the way for the ghoul with the ball. So, turn 5 begins with the score 1-0 for Dead Money.

In turn 5 I was receiving, so I put Morg up to the right to keep the ball behind him etc, so of course Grunker kicked to the left. I promptly followed with two of my guys just in case, and one of my thrower... failed to pick up the ball. It bounced and ended up in the hands of the guy who originally was supposed to pick it up. Then, unfortunately, one of my blitzers was badly hurt by one of the furry abominations. I decided to dodge away with the ball handler and ran to the right, handed the ball to my catcher, who continued his way behind Morg and some blitzers etc. Unfortunately, the other furry abomination stunned one of those blitzers next turn and I really couldn't push through on that side. Then I noticed Grunker left a hole in the middle, just enough for my thrower to run through and accept a pass, uh, from my catcher! I decided to "go for it" and you can guess what happened. The last turn of the first half had an amusing incident: one of the werewolves fell down (failed a dodge roll?) and I decided to foul him with one of my linewomen... who didn't manage to hurt him and was sent off with a red card!

The second half starts better for me. My bodger catches the ball and runs to the right behind the wall of my other players, while Morg blitzes one of the werewolves and brings him temporarily down. When some of the slower Necro players are tied there I quickly run to the left with the ball, but risking worse protection. Of course, a werewolf blitzes my ball handler through the hole in the wall, knocks him out with frenzy and picks up the ball at the same turn! And now he has none of my players between him and the end line! Now I have to make it short since I'm out of time: I managed to blitz the werewolf and get the ball back while one of my linewomen knocked the other werewolf out! I continued to the end line making sure I keep all Grunker's faster players in check and that I don't need any go for it rolls, and in turn 13 it's 1-1!

The last three turns were a bit wacky. I could've won if we played a turn more, but also Grunker could've won if he only had more luck with the dice (5 skulls in a row).

Anyway, a tough match for the Hotties, and I'm very satisfied with a draw! Thanks for the match, Grunker!

Just an update - Gore and I have been in contact each day since the week started. We think we'll be able to get our game in tonight, and if not, tomorrow night. Our schedules just haven't lined up well so far.

I don't think I've raged quite so much at skulls costing me the game before, partly because I made some mistakes myself.

Thanks for the game, Elwro!

We have Brazilians and an Aussie in our bracket. It's more Old World vs New World.

Possibly because we have members in our group who can measure their years of Blood Bowl experience in decades.

This match was almost as bad as those of my Khemri team.
A lot of 1d blocking bit the Norse in the arse as the number of Attacker Downs was rather ridiculous. One hell of a nuffling, especially with the dead player in the second half. Normally I like seeing Norse getting beaten into the grass, but this time it was like watching a puppy getting kicked over and over again.

Moss has also joined the prestigious club of turn 16 foulers. That's just nasty, man.

Thank God for Turn 16! If it wasn't for it, I'd never get to foul! :smug:

That was some seriously one-sided match. Root's idea of attrition war was good and seemed to be working at one time, but the eagle-eyed referee made sure which team walks away with the victory. I don't think I've ever seen so many players ejected from the pitch in one game.

yep, moss locked me down and forced me into choosing between bad and worse. i also played terribly at the beginning, forgetting i have a new kicker on the team. but, at least i haven't forgotten to walk the ball into the endzone on turn 8.

3-1, orc armour was pretty shabby today, there was something like 6 KO'd orcs on the second half, also pretty easy bloodlust rolls. Such a lucky streak, and to think I had though "Meh, orcs, what do I have on orcs?".
