My formation after the one turner was terrible and even though I could have reached the blitzer relatively easy, a bad bonehead roll on my blitz would have been horrible, leaving me without a reroll for the dodge(3+) I had to make or the block itself. And I do remember quite a few triple skulls or triple skulls/both downs. So the first interception was actually more vital than I realized yesterday.
Yup, that's why I was extremely annoyed that you made it :D
Your second TD had even slightly worse odds than my one turner by the way, which kinda surprises me now. (10.2% if you didn't have a reroll). Like I said yesterday, in this game only the most difficult moves seemed to succeed. Which made it great fun.
I had a reroll, but still, that was some good luck. Overall, a great match

@Pussycat: I might have time today, or perhaps tomorrow on on Thursday, but after that, I'll only have time after the 10th of July. How about you?

and goddamnit, I'm playing against WoE, and my only player with Tackle died in the previous match. Also, I only have 3 guys with block now :rpgcodex: edit2: thank Nuffle for 2 level ups

7am is 5am for me, so that's a bit monstrous, but if that's the only time you can make it...
Nah, 5 am is out of the question - You could as well play blindfolded. And I can't play against You being handicapped, as You will win anyway and embarass me. We'll see about that weekend then.

EDIT: I think it might be 6 am for You, as I'm actually in GMT +1, but we have that daylight saving time thingy here which makes it effectively +2.

Hmm. My java is bugged so I can't add him.

You don't need to add him as a friend, just chat with him via the steam group when he is online.

Hey Elwro, I could still play tonight. After that, we would have to wait for the 10th July, I'm afraid.

Don't worry about the match. I will play bad enough for the both of us ;)

EDIT: I would have time on Thursday morning too on second thought

Honestly, I don't think I have 2 hours to spare this evening. Too much work and much money hanging on it (grant applications etc). A question to the others: could you guys wait until we play our match, perhaps on the 11th of July? This could give the end of the league some additional suspense :D

edit: Thursday morning? Who knows, we'll see, I'd give it a 60% chance on my side. Will let you know tomorrow.

So, uh, Kaiserin can't play?

I should play against her, and she haven't spoken to me yet. To be honest, neither did I pm her, but I can be excused because I'm lazy, or something.
He/she's been having pretty bad computer troubles.

Play on weekend?

Ye, fine by me.

OK guys, I lost to PussyCat 2-1, I had a chance to draw, but don't think I had any chance to win, he outclassed me. Since the previous match had robbed me of 2 players, now I had 11 + Zara the Slayer. And of course, I used the Apothecary to heal a gogued eye, and what happens next? My blitzer is dead for good. Also, the Elves bashed like the Dwarves, a KO after a KO. I had to defend using 9 players, so you can guess what happened.

I think I had about 4 deaths (for good, i.e. without the apothecary it would've been 6, I think) in the last 3 matches.

Also, it was the first time I played against the elves and I really had no idea what I was doing. Shitty positioning was shitty.

Congrats, Pussycat, for a good match!

Thanks everyone for Season 3 - I won't qualify for the playoffs after all.

Another Blitzer dead? You need to add some vitamins to Your Amazons' diet, Elwro.
I won't pretend that I don't like the result. :D But the amount od deaths Your team has suffered in the whole season was a bit unfair. I hope it won't discourage You from joining the next iteration of the league.

BTW: 10 points in 9 matches is a pretty nice result for a rookie player (You had no prior Blood Bowl experience, if I recall?).

Ok, got a bit more time now.

First off my sincere apologies for that killed blitzer, Elwro. I know what great loss this must have been, looking at the record. It was also a shame that the chance for a tie didn't lead to anything (although I guess I must confess that the gap wasn't entirely unintentional. I just don't have what it takes to be that unfeeling, success driven machine... like UD :P).

Anyways, many thanks for a nice little game. It sure was a blast!

And
I hope it won't discourage You from joining the next iteration of the league.

Thanks for the kind words! Nope, I think I should say I didn't - I played a few matches as dwarves in sp back when the original edition came out, but that's it. I even forgot what exactly it was that Block did. And the first matches here had me play against very good coaches with very good teams :D I think I learned something during this season, but since I don't really have time for gaming, and these matches take 2 hours, the league matches were the only BB matches I played against a real person. I guess instead of a rookie I might be a semi-rookie now, but e.g. I still have no idea how to set up my defense properly against fast teams etc.

Now, my team is practically demolished. Some linemen graduated into fake blitzers (fake because they're blodgers, but they're already level 2 with no advancement in sight), but I'm not sure it's worth keeping the team. 10 players. 2 "real" blitzers, no catchers... I'd definitely want to take part in the league again, though. I just know I won't be able to play in September at all, so I guess I should skip the next season?

Fucking A. Now I know why Steam closed itself. My fucking hard drive with Blood Bowl on it died on turn 14 or so. Causing the game to CTD immediately after Phoenix' last turn touchdown. I sure hope the game counts as finished (and that my hard drive isn't actually dead).
Anyway, well played Mr 9-0.
