So....... are there any scantily clad or shirtless guys in this, or it it yet another scantily clad chicks with HUGE BOOBS simulator with vampires? :M
Uh, been murdering some shirtless vampires if thats what you mean. dudes could teleport around and hit like motherfuckers.
As for the hub, been a little in it, most side quests send you to do a crawl and find shit at one of several thematically different dungeons which entrances you can find while exploring. Im fairly certain you can turn at least 2 "Hunks" into your kindred at the hub.

Don't quite get this point. Where are the puzzles then if not in dungeons?
On the hubs, theres a ton to explore there. But no minigame, just straight stats checks.
On the dungeon most of it has a minigame but some traps are stat check, while there are hidden passages and shit, you find them like you found them in old games, by paying attention or using spells, or both..

So far my only complain is the retarded monster respawn. In a game with randomly generated levels respawning is complete and utter ass.

There are werewolves who walk bare chested in their jeans (in their human form, obviously). Does that count?

I nearly pooped my pants the first time I encountered them as a low level scrub. At first I thought NP I can do this, but then when one of them transformed into a wolf he just fucking wrecked me.

Im level 26 atm, going down several levels is the best way to rack up exp fast, using the monkey pits. The only problem is that you are underleveled, thus most of the gear they drop you cant use.
Im already seeing stuff with +60 to a stat, makes me glad i spent no more than 5 minutes rerolling stats.
Stalkers are mage killers, any mage facing them needs to get a decent weapon and melee them or try to ignore them and run the fuck away.

So, any more thoughts about the game now that some time has passed from release?

I'm a huge DS fan. But this game is nothing like the DS series. Dropped it somewhere in the middle. The grinding required in this game is really annoying.

PC RPG Website of the Year, 2015 Codex 2016 - The Age of Grimoire Make the Codex Great Again! Grab the Codex by the pussy Insert Title Here RPG Wokedex Codex Year of the Donut Divinity: Original Sin 2
This thing has the honor of being the first and only game I've refunded on Steam. While it all sounded very interesting on paper and potentially right up my alley, an hour of the clunky and mmo-ish gameplay was enough for me :?.

Despite knowing better, i bit the bullet;
For his first ever RPG(ish), he deserves praise i think (to those interested, he previously focused on making adventure games, i even have a review for one of them. Of sorts).
The game is almost bugless, runs as smooth as you'd want it and minus the typical Indie "issues" one'd expect. It has obvious effort, obvious love and care having gone into it. Except one's love is not always another's :)

1) lethal dosages of popamolis consolitocis. You can tell he thinks like 'they' think . /shiver
2) poor ingame camera. It "bounces" back and forth too much while your character is looking around, effect made even more evident if you play it with a proper FOV. Best way to endure it is by zooming all the way in, which leads me to:
3) lack of first person mode. Used to have it, it now does not; millennials did not want it, so he removed it. Problem is that when zoomed all the way, you got your avatar taking about a third of the fucking low part of your screen. Bad for visibility, the way he has it set up. Extra problem (though this is me being picky) that said avatar looks like shit and is always on "combat" mode, hands outreached in the typical MMOish "i am in combat nao!!11" kind of way. Even when you are not in combat. I know it sounds petty, but the horrid conceptualisation plus the amount of fucking space it occupies makes it unbearable. For me. Whatever was his issue with first person mode i know not..
4) the stereotypical "if in doubt make them grind" syndrome in all its glory. Pacing not good here? Quests noticeably fewer there? No problem. Add some (badly) disguised bandaid grind, stir softly.
5) as 4249 said, i was often thinking i was playing an MMO in a single player mode.
6) though you know this already, this has nothing to do with VTMB (be it story or gameplay-wise) and this has nothing to do with any idea the words "RPG + Vampires" may put in your head. It is just another slasher. Could have replaced vampires with alliens, zombies, you name it, i would not have cared.
7) respawns. I refuse to even analyse this. If you have not an issue with respawns..i got nothing further to say to you, sorry.

Did not ask for a refund. He deserves the money. I just sincerely doubt he will ever make anything targetted to someone like me i will purchase his next game.

Not really, i think it varies, situation depending.
He cares, he tries, he puts effort, he does not allow for the technical to be an impediment. Not many that do so, and definitely not many Indie devs that get there. Most especially on their first try. If i do not compensate him for his efforts, why would he ever consider to redouble them? And if he doesn't..well, i at least can say it wasn't due to my lack of concern (read: tangibly). Same way i 'punish' devs..barring the odd miracle, i just never buy from them again, only way i can show it.

I mention the technical because frankly the word Indie has become synonymous with the wrong concepts. Being fucking clueless, incapable or lacking undrestanding of your medium is not Indie. Nor is lower budget an excuse for technical issues, especially the gameplay affecting ones. He did his fucking best presentation and functionality wise, and that means something to me. Just like inversely, i may have been the only soul on the Codex to criticise the Stasis dev for shipping a game i could not even play, techie reasons alone.

I try shy away from double standards :)

Yeah, this game is about as frustrating as it can be fun. The dude deserves a break, and more important, he needs tons of feedback, he seems to be listening.

I'd rather he gathered his well-earned income and went back to adventure games to be honest.
Whatever issues they had, they mostly revolved around low budget and/or his attempting (wrongly in my book) to overcompensate due to that. They did however gave me the impression of a person possessing that ellusive skill of being able to set a theme down, convey its mood to you and draw you in it. Would love to see him work on a new title, sans his previous constraints.
