Reminds me of modron. Excellent stuff. Now I'm doubly glad I defended this.

Oh, also, I can finally announce that you will see me representing "Team Fawn" on IGN's next season of "The Next Game Boss" :) Kind of came out of nowhere, but it has been the reason I have been pretty quiet lately. (((Here is a behind the scenes shot :P Shhh))

Well, heya guys :) Things are still moving ahead lightning fast. I've begun talks with microsoft and sony (just exploring options, but they seem interested...even if it means some heavy restrictions in terms of who gets to play the game, which is something I would really hate to do... but, well, I don't have a pile of money sitting around),

In the meantime I'm continuing to work on getting the demo worked out. Lately I have been trying to settle on a style for the environments (this is just a loose test, it is moving towards what I want... but not there yet, needs a lot more).

Programming is going great also. We have a new senior programmer (who worked as a professional animator in tv/film before getting into programming professionally and has a handful of games released)...and an intern programmer who is almost done with college, but is eager to assist where we need.

Our goal is to have a demo running by the time the show starts to air from IGN.

Who would've thought that you are now talking with Microsoft, despite your success on kickstarter
Already before that you had me convinced that your game is going to suck, but welcome back to the Codex :salute: It loves obstinate people like you.

For your own good, you can ignore St. Toxic. Just click on the name then "ignore".

Kickstarter isn't just for funding :P It was a good way to introduce people to the game and get feedback on the direction (and has been amazing publicity. IGN, Microsoft, Sony, and all the media coverage are direct results from it).

Unlike some big names, I actually have put some effort into my project ~_~ A kickstarter failing isn't going to make me give up haha. Though, I have adjusted the game idea to fit within the limitations of resources (without time and money, I have to pull back the scope and scrap some things like the normal / depth maps...instead I am doing a hand paint-over on each environment and going more artsy with it).

And, of course, I can revisit kickstarter in the future once the demo is done (which will hopefully be done within 2 months).

Oh also, working out some more environment maps ~_~ They are still WIPS (missing some elements). Anyone wana guess what game it is inspired by? :P

Well, good on you, Studio Fawn-person. Good attitude, good push, good leveraging of publicity. Hope you get the game out there, hopefully with not too many restrictions :salute:

Good luck. I do think you put more in than a lot of the big guys as far as real work goes. They just had slicker pitches and bigger names but like thorvalla the raw talent shows through to the discerning eye. There's real potential there and I hope it comes to fruition.

The only bit of advice I have is tone down the bloom
