Only just noticed this thread. Awesome stuff. A lot of it we've already seen elsewhere, but it's great to see Brian Fargo constantly repeating the same stuff over and over, without any compromise or weaseling. Just earlier this week I was still worried that he may start changing his tone, talking about maybe-streamlining, maybe trying to bring in new blood to the franchise, or other statements indicating a shift in direction. But no, he stuck to his guns, even at the cost of burning bridges with the entire publisher/distributor model, and he keeps reiterating every single point that I want to see in this game. And everything MCA says reinforces my opinion that it's is going to be awesome.

I honestly don't think I've been this psyched about a CRPG since work started on Lazarus.

Avellone on games he would like to revive and work on
As for me, I'd love to do: Ultima (both conventional and the spin-offs like Martian Dreams)
I suddenly had a vision of MCA reviving Arthurian Legends on the new Wasteland 2 engine.

One can dream.

Who is the cute guy in the middle?
There's MCA in the picture and you're lusting after someone else?

Heh. Maybe. But not having publicists and publishers hanging over their head like a nervous black cloud probably helps things stay a little looser too.
