Ergo, Troika's patch support wasn't any worse than anyone else's single player RPGs

Must be why Baldurs Gate was completely playable on launch, while Bloodlines only became playable after 10 years worth of community patches.

Bloodlines is also completely playable even with just the 1.2 patch. Wesp's patch fixes a ton of small things (and all the stuff he breaks in the process of fixing those small things). It's not like there were still a bunch of outstanding crashes and broken scripts in 2006/7, much less 2014.

The saddest thing about Troika is that all 3 games would've been a lot more successful nowadays.

I think that without Troika's games today's market for "old school" RPGs would be noticeably smaller.
