One more Brigand vid since they get 20x more views than Warlord vids. Get it on Steam, GOG, or itch.

Hi guys, after Pathfinder: Kingmaker, I was looking for a different (and way shorter) kind of game. And my mind went to this one. I was looking on GOG and I found there a "Oaxaca: Gold" that contains: Oaxaca, Panama, Battles, Nightmare and some extras.

Is there anything else? Any other "dlc" or whatever?

I'm trying to understand a couple of things before I start to play it.

I bought the bundle, and now this are my doubts:

- Battle: is it a stand-alone modality with combat-only maps?
- Nightmare: it says it adds more difficulty to the game but, while starting the game (I've just checked character's creation), I haven't seen any difficulty setting. Is there any?
- Panama: is it a stand-alone story too?
- If I select Oaxaca at the beginning and HYPOTETHICALLY I finish it, should I re-start a game and select "Panama" to play also thi part of the game?

1. Yes, just combat maps. Leave them for later.
2. Nightmare is the hard mode for vanilla Oaxaca (plus some added stuff iirc). Leave it for later.
3/4. Yes, play it after Oaxaca.

Assassination Mod Contest ($50 Prize)
Deadline: October 1st
Next Brigand Modding contest: make a single-map challenge where you must assassinate a political leader or politician from real life (Biden, Putin, Netanyahu, etc.). First amendment, my babies. The deadline in October 1st and the prize is $50.

This contest is inspired by Tenacious D's pointless tour cancellation over a one-off joke, and by everybody on TV pretending to be serious after Trump got shot at. I haven't seen so many people pretending to care on camera since Kim Jung-Il ascended to Valhalla.

Also partly inspired by JFK: Reloaded, as well as two games that used the same soldier models as Brigand: Quest for Saddam and Quest for Bush.

Quest for Saddam: https://www.myabandonware.com/game/quest-for-saddam-eys
Quest for Bush: https://www.myabandonware.com/game/quest-for-bush-night-of-bush-capturing-eyp

It will require you to re-texture a character and slap a different face on there, which I used to do with MS Paint before layers were even introduced, so it's pretty easy. You will also get extra points if you use real sound bites for dialogue barks, and if the location makes sense (White House, Kremlin, Mar a Lago etc.).

Don't work for the CIA, they are one of the most evil organizations in existence. If you work for the FBI, however, they might assign you a hot yet skeptical redhead in a lab coat as partner, so don't immediately throw that offer out.

And then you try to bang her for eight seasons. Would not recommend.

David had much better luck in Californication.

I've been wondering if there is any particular reason this game is not a Deus Ex mod? Both gameplay style and design principles seem to indicate that it would be a good fit. Plus the game would be less hideous, more fluent in gameplay and likely more technically stable. I know the point is moot now, but I'm curious what advantage the path chosen had.

Well, for starters, he wouldn’t be able to sell it.
No shit Sherlock. At which point did this game give you an impression of a project created to make money?

He made a robust first-person RPG from the ground up. It's an astonishing personal achievement.
It very well might be, given it apparently came to be in a narcotic daze, but it is completely beside the point.
