I see that Legends of Eisenwald was added. :salute:

Time to update your votes and demonstrate that you're not practitioners of sodomy!

If Venetica and Unrest count as historical, then I'd say Lionheart:Legacy of the Crusader could also be included. Also, the store-page description of

Says:
Prince of Qin is an action RPG that blends fighting and strategic elements in a voyage through the ancient Qin Dynasty.....
Sounds a bit fishy to me.

Prince of Qin is very nice game to play~ I replayed it at least 2 complete runs over the years.

But god know why I had no interest in trying Seal of Evil. I remember that I did install it but abandoned it after 2-3 hours.

Same game engine, just a bit different story.

Seems to be a new release on GOG : https://af.gog.com/en/game/hammer_of_the_gods?as=1649904300 Has some mythological stuff but is accurate to the Norse theme, though I doubt it can be considered as historical as Expeditions or Sword of the Samurai.

Hammer of the Gods is a turn-based strategy game that recreates the world the way the Vikings experienced it. The gods are a real consideration in the decisions made and glorious death one of the highest goals. Unlike other strategy games, the building of the empire is not necessarily the ultimate objective. Hammer of the Gods introduced the combat system later popularized by Heroes of Might and Magic.
Anyone heard of it?

No UnRealWorld makes baby Jesus cry.
I would consider ticking Sword of the Samurai (RPG?) and Darklands but have little experience with the others
apart from some Sea Dogs, UW: New Horizons and the Nethergate shareware ...

I've played it, but not extensively. Its pretty fun, but I don't think its a RPG, even on the level that the Heroes games are. Focus is partially on pleasing the gods, which can be done by doing things from giving one of your sons to one, to finding resources on the map. It also has actual diplomacy, unlike Heroes.
