  • Welcome to rpgcodex.net, a site dedicated to discussing computer based role-playing games in a free and open fashion. We're less strict than other forums, but please refer to the rules.

"This message is awaiting moderator approval": All new users must pass through our moderation queue before they will be able to post normally. Until your account has "passed" your posts will only be visible to yourself (and moderators) until they are approved. Give us a week to get around to approving / deleting / ignoring your mundane opinion on crap before hassling us about it. Once you have passed the moderation period (think of it as a test), you will be able to post normally, just like all the other retards.

Can GD be more heavily moderated?

Even just for a while? It is a fast flowing river of shit at the moment. A hard ass is needed to filter it.

I agree, every thread in GD should be retardoed.

No. GD is a free forum. Keep your Communist hands off of it.

How about a rule that your rpg discussion posts must outweigh your GD posts (with the rpg forum moderated to ensure it isn't abused)?

I, mean, GD-wankery is fine and all, but this is a crpg website and I don't think I've EVER seen higher game step foot into rpg discussion, let alone have a meaningful contribution. I could have missed the occasional 'lol consoletard popamole' I guess, but I've just done a search of 'author=higher game', and there isn't a SINGLE rpg-related thread on the first page (didn't bother looking beyond that). Not even a 'lol popamole' contribution.

Steve gets a Kidney but I don't even get a tag.
But if I retardo all the shit, what would be left?

Occasionally I dump the most useless and retarded troll threads into retardo. If I find NSFW pics in threads without an obvious NSFW proclamation in the title, I remove the img tags.

But if I remove everything that is stupid/retarded/trolling/spam, what would be left? GD would be horribly empty.

So, you want to turn the Codex into a place for obsessive nerds?

GD should be heavily moderated.

Retardo Land should be opened so everyone can post in it. No moderation here at all (except extreme extremes like CP etc)

Oh god, no obssessive-compulsive rules in mah forum, please. Besides, someone only interested in RPG discussion will just avoid GD completely.

If the flowing river of shit in GD is bothering someone, a mod just has to come in a quick swipe and delete the idiotic threads.

I need to make my trolling more obvious.

I think it's telling that DU created a forum to split the intelligent discussion from GD already and hardly anybody uses it.

Yes. Close GD. Let the horrors spill into every other forum instead.

Finally, my plan would be complete, and the universe Codex would be mine!

Actually, forget it. Instead just shut your fucking mouth, you whiny, pretentious, "GD-scares-me-and-destroys-the-quality-of-my-pretty-debates" motherfucking cowards.

DAC? ESF?

If we're lucky enough he may go to Bioware Social Club and bug Gaider about the lack of a Georgia equivalent in The Dragon Age Setting :smug:

Why moderate ? I am for full freedom of speech, just merge retardo and GD , you wont notice the difference ,moderators will not waste precious seconds of their life moving all that shit each time. Its a win win for everyone.

I agree with the OP, I think the local GD forums could benefit from heavier moderation. I know I'm new here, but I've already seem that the place is full of insignificant topics and nobody takes anything serious.

People here have good taste and string opinions(at least outside GD). With a bit less spamming and less silly topics I think you can milk something good out of GD.
