Probably radio silence, although because MeToo/Cancel Culture is such effective clickbait article material and it isn't all that often these things actually do end up in court, it might get enough attention that they'll need to acknowledge it in some way.

This is the first time I’ve spoken about it in-depth. Part of the motivation for this is because it was brought to my attention that, later in 2020, Karissa started deleting a large section of her past Twitter postings, almost 60,000+ tweets.

What the fuck. That's around 20 tweets on average per day for 8 years?! Surely I'm misunderstanding something, or is she the rusty shackleford of #MeToo?

And if you fuck up this part, any good PR specialist would advise you to wait until they more or less forget about the incident. Considering, that it is almost exactly a year (day to day), I think, that was the actual advice: wait 1 year then come out with the statement.

There was another way, of more slowly returning through the working with negative PR and paying for positive interviews & publications, but that costs a very lot of money and probably won't work in the woke culture of today.

Though if Chris wins, and is vindicated, I think he'll still have trouble getting a job - but that's more to do with the entire industry turning to shit and the wokeism that's burning down America right now. Still, a solid victory might bring a bit of normalcy back and stop the "death by Twitter" band-wagoning.

This is happening a year from the event because the statute of limitations to bring a civil suit for negligence is almost certainly 1 year. Could be longer for intentional torts like libel/defamation, but if you're going to file a suit, you do it in time to bring any claim you may have.
