Combat and itemization can be easily fixed
If they turn town the sponge effect, the difficulty will just disappear. There is literally no encounter design involved here.
Their lack of shooter experience really shows...

Best they can do is make it fairly lethal both ways, but normies won't like that.

Combat's either going to be comically easy or a chore, doubt there'll be an in-between without overhauling more than just the scaling.
They'd need to improve the a.i. a lot, add more enemies, make them act more as a team etc.
But then there's the perk system to consider...

I have preordered it a few days ago, because, well, I'm Polish and I liked the Witchers. I see however that Codex pre-release opinion is one of "this is going to be a trainwreck". Would anyone be kind enough to explain, what seems to indicate it? Other than CDPR being filled with dangerhairs who would thrive in Cyberpunk setting, but Disco Elysium was a Marxist PoS as well and 'Dex seemed to like it.
First, the codex' regulars shit on every game, before and after release alike. Second, you are parroting codex regulars' opinion about Disco which was voted Codex RPGOTY 2019, apparently without having played it, or you would have known how wrong you are. So which "codex opinion" would you rather go with - the vocal minority or the sane majority?

That's what you get for wearing sunglasses at dusk like a dork.
My vision is augmented.

Basically CDPR didn't have the balls to implement a Deus Ex style sway system for unskilled gun users. So they let everyone land their shots regardless of skill, but just make the damage pitiful for low skill users instead.
Yep, simply scaling the damage values is so much faster than implementing a sway system, animating it and making it scale with skill level. In addition to that, I don't know the numbers but I guess a huge proportion of the population will just think the game is bugged if you reduce their accuracy. I remember when cracked Arma 2 would mess up your accuracy and randomly teleport the player's camera through the eyes of a crow circling over the map. Most players thought both things were bugs, although it was code hidden away in the game exe which was detecting that it had been cracked

I think this whole game is going to reflect that CDPR are trying to have their cake and eat it, and life just doesn't work that way. They're trying to appeal to old school gamers with claims of 'it's a real RPG!' But they don't have the balls to lose the mainstream audience who will reject actual RPG mechanics like DE's.
Ah, the infamous Sawyer Syndrome.

You know CDPR, the easiest way to counter leaks of allegedly outdated versions is to just show a decent chunk of the same gameplay sections from a more up-to-date version...

There should be one, right?
Or work with some friendly milquetoast streamer like CohhCarnage, let him play an official version some to show it off.

Yeah, you would if you could.

Can't wait for the 11/10 journo and 6/10 user average MetaCritic review scores. This has "Borderlands: Andromeda" written all over it.

It really needs to be hammered in that this game has been in development for the better part of 8 years.
Nothing suprising, that's how CDPR rolls ever since The Witcher 1. Only in the early 2000s they were inexperienced team...

They'll then cry "MUH REVIEWBOMBS", even though they incorporated that 48 hour bullshit or whatever it was. Then we'll gradually see the negative reviews being swiped off. Like how Death Stranding stood at around 4-5 for weeks and now it's a 7.

Never expected a potential shitshow from CDPR after the Witcher 3. Maybe they shouldn't have tried building a cutting edge game using original X-box1 and PS4 baseline tech. If they waded into the abortion debate in Poland too my level of trust in these guys is dropping by the minute.

I reckon anyone with an iq of above 80 realizes that good reviews are quite literally paid for. Has been a common and well known fact ever since the Kane & Lynch debacle.
No need to even pay. Remember Assassin's Creed II Scandal? Some people will give high reviews, because that's how they get free review copies. If they don't, they don't get them and have to buy them on their own when the game releases (meaning you're behind on giving a review). This is precisely why I liked Angry Joe: he wasn't afraid of criticising games and including video evidence to support his opinions.

It really needs to be hammered in that this game has been in development for the better part of 8 years. Also, a budget to rival the likes of GTA V. Who wants to speculate just how much of that money was wasted on the pointless multiplayer component that is gonna be DOA?
Doubt it. It's much more likely a lot of money was wasted because the game was in development hell and the direction kept changing all the time. Why? Because they lacked clear vision of the gameplay. So the actual game we see now was in development for a half or less of the time it was officially in development.

drumpf emboldened Russian ambitions and this caused existential anxiety among all poles which made them unable to focus on making a good game, so yeah it is orange mans fault

However, if they've failed in the writing and worldbuilding department, there will be no saving grace.

Then the game will be summed up by the vision of a Greek gay singing in the middle of a Western capital that he has no time and is surrounded by hate and regret:

Quick reminder that the journalists who are super excited by it played a 15 hour version streamed from CD Projekt's servers, not on a Xbox one with a 1.2 GHZ CPU, and that it was already known the old gen versions were super problematic.

One more reason to hate Trump is that it is because of him this retarded cope meme got popular. Fuck you Trump!
I haven't seen it before (I avoid Reddit.) Of course they'd try and piggybank on Pepe, mistaking resolve for disbelief while they do it, instead of creating their own memes. Communists are soulless scum who can't create.
