D&D 4e was leaked 2-3 weeks before official launch. Wonder if that will happen again or they will have stricter controls this time.

Races in the PHB

It seems Eladrin are gone. :(

The elf subrace will probably be high and wood. Hopefully we also get either eladrin and/or drow

Eladrin never should have been a player race. They were the Chaotic Good celestials in second and third edition, maybe earlier. Then 4E did away with Chaotic Good, because apparently Robin Hood types don't exist in that shitty game.

Looks like the Dragonborn are back though, so we can look forward to more lizard tits :negative:

Aren't Eladrin pretty much high elves anyway? I always saw them as kind of redundant as a separate race.

99% certain that elves have 5 pages so that they have three subraces described: High, Wood, Dark.

Then they will go into what each type means in each setting, ie. Sun Elves, Eladrin, Wild Elves, etc.

If you want to teleport, you will probably need to buy a setting splat book. :smug:

I'm looking to buy some maps or tiles and some character/monster tokens for our sessions. Do you know any good-not very expensive set?
The 4e Red Box was a good deal. The books and the cards are shit, sadly, but the maps, tokens and dice ar OK.

Drawing on the ancient knowledge of otherworldly beings, the mighty warlock commences a night of trick-or-treating.

The difference being, Clyde Caldwell's could actually move enough in his robes to cast a spell. How does one do the somatic gestures under all those layers of fabric and piles of belts and baubles? I was kinda hoping Wayne Reynolds wouldn't show up in 5E, but oh well.

Plus, that new one's pose and angle of the picture makes it look like the dude's got really short arms.
