Where is this in the game? I have no memory of this location at all.

OK, let's do this one by one...

In the beginning you find a four-page book which nonsensical lines which turn into "a strange ornate urn" if you look through the light. Further in the passages you'll find strange colored spots (maroon, orange, violet, ochre) covering 1-8 indentations. It's an ordinary "color-by-number" puzzle. So I composed the maps and... oh dear, I hoped it will be a masterpiece I can print and hang on the wall.

Ah. I never figured out what those colored spots were all about, and I guess I never read that book.

ERIOSTHE CARRIAGEWAY: calculating its length and speed of the carriage

Easy. One map square is 5ft (stated several times in fire spell descriptions). The carriageway tunnel runs for about 520 squares. You can check it if you send the carriage to the opposite side before entering the subway... Electric eels are tasty, by the way, or are they just cut power cables, squirming on the wet floor? Whatever... When you travel in the carriage, you can notice the journey takes about a minute. So the length of the tunnel is 790 meters, and the speed is about 50 km/h. An ordinary subway, after all.

Just some self-deprecating poetry

* * *

I'm a little dog-swine critter
With my nose-ring Uukrul-bann'd.
I will hardly be permitted
Blasting beacons in the end.

But before your mighty Fshofth
Starts to send orkind aloft,
Out of there me could you bring
And return my Precious ring?

* * *
Poor pity Areth fiddled with a plaque.
The last of the fools he was (orkish: "Durak")
"What do they give?" me ask, "Is it a queue?
Then I'll be the last, 'cause I stand after you!"

Awesome game. Would be great to have a remaster like Bard's tale. Anyone here played the remastered bard's tale trilogy? I played the first one and enjoyed it a lot
