Dark and Demon's Souls are an upper tier of average games, but I like them only for the fact that the hype surrounding them (especially Dark Souls on the codex) is rather hilarious. If the third instalment will turn out to somehow be "decline" for the fans and rage ensues, I will like them even more.

Emo kids
Bizarre story where love is the answer
14 year old generals
Androgynous teenagers
Materia
Phoenix downs


The combat was most certainly NOT button mashing, and if you think it is then you either didn't play it or you sucked at it.
The story was weird, that is true, but then again, you're dead.

While you could argue it isn't a western RPG, it certainly doesn't seem weeaboo to me either.


Also that armor reminds me of saverok from bg1 or morrowind.
