As others have said, that can safely be discounted as it is missing the most important games from pretty much every developer on there. No Fallout for Tim Cain, no Fallout 2 for Chris Avellone etc.
Even when their database will be more complete, taking a mean won't work well. You can't treat creating a couple of models for the game as being one of the persons who had most influence over development of the game. Otherwise you get ridiculous results like 69 for Jason Anderson who is credited for such games as:

47 - Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer (PS3) - Additional Artwork
80 - Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines (PC) - Creative Director/Level Building
71 - Goblin Commander: Unleash the Horde (GC) - Additional Art
81 - Arcanum: Of Steamworks and Magick Obscura (PC) - Game Design
(first number indicates metascore for the game)

Metacritic uses some weird weighted system where some websites and magazines count more heavily towards the average "based on their stature". Is there a list available of these websites? Do we get to know how Metacritic decides? Hah, don't be ridiculous. GameSpot and Game Informer are more important because they're more important. And how does Metacritic decide what sites get on their list anyway? Fuck if I know. What, you think any site can be a Metacritic site? Hah! GOOD FUN!

Well isn't this one of the most prestigious magazines of all? Shouldn't the Codex have a massive influence over Metacrap ratings then? :smug:

* Tim Cain - 75
* Julian Gollop - 76
* Chris Avellone - 81
* David Gaider - 85
* Todd Howard - 89

The smaller the number is - the better the developer is?
The smaller the number is - the more dude is actually related to game dev?

Because from these five only top two are game developers.

Metacritic Removes Individual Developer Scores, Still 'A Work In Progress', Waits for Grimoire release

Yes, the system will be ready once Grimoire is released. It is waiting for Grimoire. No ratings system could ever be ready without the release of Grimoire.
