Demise: Ascension - is anyone else here playing it?

Try to cast a Resistant spell on any of your characters in Mordor: The depths of Dejenol.
For instance: Resist Fire.
And look at the resistance percentage received from the spell.
Compare that to the newer games like Demise: Ascension or Demise: Revenge of the Tavern Keeper, or even Demise: Rise of the Ku'tan.

Also I think none of the spells were stolen yet by the monster raid on the town
So high end spells like Resurrect or Word of Death are available from the get go.

So much has changed...

I have always this question: If you run a party do you get less experience? So is there a party penalty?
For example killing a goblin
1. You have 1 PC in the party, that PC gets 10 XP.
2. You have 4 PC in the party, first PC kills goblin, first PC gets the same 10 XP or less?

From the helpfile (page Parties):

Experience
Experience isn’t distributed any differently for a party than for a single character. Whoever hits the monster and/or kills the monster will receive the experience – nobody else. However, the amount of experience that a character earns for hitting/killing a monster (or casting a spell, etc.) will be less for larger parties. For best experience, run solo!

Additional observations
  • I think you get less XP when your companion kills a monster for you, instead of you killing it yourself.
  • Monsters vary in hitpoints, you can see this when you, for instance, charm 4 Dwarves.
The more hitpoints a monster has, the more XP it gives.
  • Strangely if you kill a monster in one blow rewarding you with say 100 XP, you don't get 100 XP if you kill it in 2 blows, you'll get more XP.
And even more XP if you kill it in 3 blows, etcetera.
  • Instant kill weapons with Beheading or Stone give less XP per monster than killing it for all its hitpoints.
  • The monster level versus character level matters.
If you are a Warrior level 30 and defeat a Dwarf you earn more XP than when you are a Warrior level 100.
(When you get stronger it becomes easier to defeat the same monsters rewarding you somewhat less XP).
