Ahh, Gimmer. The go-to budget classic. So WW Barb is solid? Do you have a tier list anywhere? Not to sound like a fag but I've been playing this game so long it doesn't hurt to have some shorthand to refer to. I will play either Barb or Paly and I am inclined toward Paly because I already have a barb in non-ladder that I'm working on.
Exactly that.
I've tried Barb in Season 9, got to early Hell difficulty and now my damage sucks and I cannot get any upgrades. I was planning to farm act 1 in hopes of getting higher level runes I need to create a decent weapon but then I didn't have time and now new season is starting.
I was thinking of doing summoner Druid for new season, from what I caught on their reddit it is supposed to be league starter friendly or something. Just not sure if I like that super passive type of gameplay. With Skeleton Necro at least you get to cast Curses and shit. How does summoner druid deal with physical immunes?

If you wanna play something to get a good start roll a Sorc or a Paladin.
Paladin has Fist of Heaven or Hammers and for Sorc pretty much every build works out in hell. Just gotta farm the areas that have no immunes of your damage type, but there are some really good ones with high item level drop.

Too late, I already started full summon druid. Also I played FoH Pala on D2R and found it boring. And Sorc was my most played class in D2 vanilla so I am kind of burnt out with that class.
I am not enjoying double immunity enemies.. I might need to grab one of the Lower resist wands for physical immunes so my ravens and fire arrow henchgirl kill them in better time or maybe Amplify as it seems to reduce enemy physical resistance in this mod.

I don't like how ludicrously gear-dependent melee is at times. A kind stranger dropped me a really good paly sword for my chargedin build and it cleared the next threshold...That's all it took. Whatever, just glad I'm doing well in Hell Act 1 now.

That is not how I play these games, everything I run into needs to die :D
And they are not rare, every rare enemy has double immunity and those that have their normal immunity as physical immunity are super irritating.
I finally beat Bhaal on Hell difficulty with Druid summoner in PD2, it was all very slow with this build once I hit Hell difficulty, especially when I run into anything physical immune, even worse if physical and cold immune. I think some rares would take 5 minutes lol (more than Bhaal).
Now I am farming Hell Cows a bit since it seems none of those have any immunities. Lvl 81 atm, damage kind of sucks. My Zoo needs 10+ seconds to kill a single pack of cows with no rares among them. I got +4 to all skills and about +3 to ravens of skiller items. Where do I get charms that give bonuses to skills?! I do not think I have seen one drop in my whole run, I've only seen charms that give like 3% bonus to cold damage.
Diablo II Ressurected is on sale until end of the day btw, if you feel like getting it, now's the time.
I got it, It's pretty neat, very beautiful game.
One of the weirdest things was finding it now has a PT-BR dub of all things.
Akara: Let's say, 6.5/10? decent voice, lacks the tone of age and wisdow the OG Akasha had
Kashya: OG Kashya has an amazon voice, really fierce. I could easily the VA voicing a gruff female, like Big Barda. PT-BR Kashya has little waifu voice, I had to give headscritches to the cute waifu girl lmao. Vtuber ass voice.
Charsi: Thought was ok, has the young girl tone of Charsi but feels like something is lacking.
Gheed: Probably one of the best ones up to now, quite close to the original VA actually. Has that perfect skeevy conjob merchant voice the OG Gheed has.
Warriv: Good voice althrough a bit more mainly than the OG, so it sounds like PT-BR Warriv is the Chad Wojak version. Bretty sure I know who is the dubber and its a pretty famous voice, just can't place the name right now.
Also, some translations are questionable, like Rogues = Renegadas e Blood Raven = Rapina Sangrenta.
Many of the deliveries were a bit flat, but maybe its just me
Question: Does the "Players" setting when starting an online game, work like the old /players command? Because to me, Players8 is pretty much the real way to play DII.
Tangent: If they ever decide to touch the game mechanically more, they should really give other damage types some ooomph. Like, Cold is the best damage type no sweat - it slows down and even freezes monsters, and shatters corpses upon death. The only reason NOT to use it is needing corpses (necros and stuff). The other damage types - Fire, Lightning and Poison, don't really do anything fancy or cool.
