Your buzzwords have no power here, racism and sexism is completely natural and there is nothing wrong with it.
And it's completely natural for the targets of racism and sexism to fight back at one point. Like they have.

Targets of racism and sexism are racists and sexists for their own race and sex so yes they can fight back.

The talk about them making the Paladin black is stupid given he was black before. I can kind of get missing this in the in-game model, but he's very clearly a black guy in the art for the magazine ad.

That doesn't look like official Blizzard artwork to me, lots of ads outsource the art. For a rather infamous example, look at the hairy mutant ad for Fallout.
For reference, these are official Blizzard depictions at the time.

Looks like some kind of north african/arab/indian/possibly Ethiopian.
You are right rusty, we do need a cope button badly. Also the pic on the left looks almost exactly like Cafu the soccer player.

I wouldn't have any issue with the Paladin looking like a mutt like Cafu.

This would have been a reasonable compromise if they wanted to turn him more black, rather than some oogabo-caricature of a black man.
Yeah, the new one looks like Aldair beaten with a stick. It's one thing to say that almost all the new characters look more ugly or "more realistic" with all the wrinkles and blemishes, it's another to argue that the original paladin was a "really really tanned Caucasian".

You don't have to be misogynist in order to like seeing sexy women. That's called being a man.
There's a huge gulf between "I like sexy women in media" and "they should be objects for my sexual pleasure in media".

You are so stuck in your learned buzzwords that you think labeling polygonal women as "objects of the male gaze" actually means anything other than "I like visually appealing character designs for women." You are desperate to try and tease out a significant difference, a huge gulf, so you can separate yourself from those nasty non-progressives, but that doesn't change anything in practical terms. Better you admit you will fully accept some truly awful character design work to "take one for the team" as leftoids are prone to do.

It's not misogynism though. More like sexual objectification. And let's be frank: the core of the problem isn't that the Amazon is not "an object for sexual pleasure", but that the Amazon was made waaaay older than she ought to be (compared to the original character).

Erasing the presence of older women in fantasy media except for evil witches is both ageist and misogynist, probably. I'm sure this is covered in the literature somewhere.

The male gaze isn't what you think it is. It's the observation that the assumed default camera perspective is that of a straight man. It is the depiction of mostly people (but also events) through the eyes of a straight man for the eyes of a straight man. Which means there is an underlying bias being pushed there.

You think the problem is her being older, rather than not conventionally sexually attractive to these specific people? Boy, have I got news for you. This whole debacle shows there is a problem somewhere. From where I'm standing, no self-respecting man would look at this in this light. It's not only juvenile, but also pathetic.

how dare developers
*checks notes*
develop games that cater towards the overwhelming majority of people who actually play them rather than alienating their fanbases

As for the Amazon, she should definitely not be a bimbo
she should be exactlty what the source material is, from a game made in a time and age where ideology and woke agenda was not prevalent in games

If the amazon would've been a granny and the paladin a sub-saharan negro, so be it, it should be the same in the enhanced edition

Infinitron Crispyㅤ Can we please have racists and bigots like Reinhardt banned? Possibly also rusty.

Serves no other purpose than to spew anti-semetic and racist remarks without any purposeful arguments and only hate speech. Spamming 4chan shit.

this is not resetera fuckface.

if you had to prove that you can go lower than a despicable retard (if that was even possible), you successfully proved it by appealing to the authority for someone to get banned like a crybaby

And it's completely natural for the targets of racism and sexism to fight back at one point. Like they have.
yes, by allowing them to shove down the throats of everybody their perfectly non racist and morally pristine ideology.
or give power to white woke retards to "speak up" for their infringed rights based on race!

it may come as a shocker to a schmuck as yourself but you can be repelled by nergo facial features (which is perfectly natural, depending with what kind of prevalent race you grew up among) and also not be a racist.

The Paladin was obviously black. Even his voice actor is black. Did a bunch of you unwittingly ~gasp~ play as a black man in a video game

Not sure why any of that matters though. You can hardly see anybody's face in-game and as far as voices go they all had great VA.

Yes Blizzshit was also woke then, and the only reason we are where we are is that nobody challenged this then.

As a kid i couldn't stand the fact he was black so i couldn't wait until i could cover his face with an helmet.

Was i racist then? No, what bothered me is that a black Paladin made no sense. It bothered me because it ruined the archetype.

You know what never bothered me? The sorcerer from D1 also being black. The sorcerer being black didn't even register in my brain but the black paladin did.

Of course there is a problem - they aren't being faithful to the original.

I am a gamer at heart, so I am looking at the problem like a gamer would. Shame on me, I guess. But, hey, let's talk about sexual attractivity in video games instead, like a true self-respecting man would. This is totally not juvenile and not pathetic at all!
