Thanks. What makes you prefer version 1.F9 to your 2nd link (which appears to be latest version, 2012 v005). It's the same mod, 1.F9 just seems to be a release from 2010? What happened in those 2 years that made you dislike it?

Both versions are great. The differences are personal preference; itemization and class tuning mostly.

I recommend starting with the version on the website as the online manual is consistent with that version.

I tried out the 2012 v005 version a few months ago and agree with you, it's a lot better designed compared to the newer versions.

Last Epoch and Grim Dawn are pretty decent aRPGs, really recommend them instead this "Let's replay Diablo II but worse and maybe with some shiny effects that tank FPS."

Median 1.99-1.F9 is considered the golden era of the mod.

That is the range you should aim for, later versions are inferior.

Open BNet was one fun Wild West experience with all the goofy as fuck hacked items you'd see. Felt like you were at the harbor smuggling in military weaponry for gang warfare.

Speaking of which, have they said what happens to old BNet or anything? The D2 lobby was one of the best around, very immersive and went a few steps further than the usual BNet interface at the time.

I'm not aware of any official statement, but I'd be very surprised if they keep the old BNet. WC3R was also forced into BNet 2.0 which is pure decline just like the entire game.

yea the vision of WoW-Tyrael instead of some shadow with gold and threads around breaks mood quick
old movies might be uglier but they are scarier.
