I bought it and it was fun for the first couple hours.

I wanted to kill myself after I beat it.

That said, my friend was lucky enough to make $100 on the RMAH a few days after release. My friends all kept playing but I was done after one playthrough.

Oh. One other thing. Leah/Diablo. Dem hips. Mmm.

Didn't bother with beta. Didn't bother with final game. Have no intention of ever doing so. People who defended their filthy D3 playing habits in that other thread a few months ago are gayer than Jaesun.

The dex created a new forum category for biowarian games but let stuff like D3 remain on CRPG D ?
Yeah, decline and all, but honestly, with all the mixed up shit in console and PC RPGs I no longer care.

As of now the codexian category system is material manifestation of the elemental decline itself.
I never understood the appeal of the diablo series and thought D2 was retarded
That's where you fail. D1 was where the shit was at.

D2 mainly appealed to grindfags and MMOtards, no matter its mechanical improvements.

It is a valid complaint.

In Diablo:
Warrior = the class name has only one word
Sorcerer = one word as well
Rogue = one word

Diablo 2:
Barbarian = one word again
Amazon = one word
Paladin = one word
Necromancer = one word
Sorceress = one word

Diablo 2 Expansion:
Assassin = one word, keeping to the Diablo tradition
Druid = one word, because it is a Diablo convention

And then...

Diablo 3:

Barbarian = returning class, one word

Wizard = one word; why couldn't they just call it Sorcerer as the previous games had established? Wizards are NOT rogue sorcerer; it's the other way round. Blizzard needs to stop trying to reinvent and redefine the English language because that makes them look like pretentious egotistical morons who had no respect for the English language.

Witch Doctor. Two words. Two phucking words. Did Blizzard even pay attention to the previous games that all classes had single-word names?!? Why couldn't It be just Shaman or Witch?

Demon Hunter. Two stinking words again. Should have been just Hunter (one word) or Avenger (one word). This is so not keeping to the Diablo naming convention.

Monk. One word. As it should be.

The original team that created the true Diablo would have kept the class names to single words. Blizzard screwed up the class names. That's a perfect valid, legit reason to boycott the goddamned game.
:hmmm:

Do you have some particular malfunction that makes your brain crash on whitespace in strings?

Pffff, hahahahahahah. What? D1 is the most grind-focused, simplistic iteration of the series. Play a warrior and you will literally just click things with standard attack til you level up, then add points to str/vit and click things with standard attack again. Whackwhackwhackwhackhackwhackwhackwhack.

Nice try, though, badass.

Diablo 1 is revered by the Codex for its superb atmosphere and quasi-turn-based combat, as opposed to bleak/childish atmosphere and clusterfuck of later iterations.

"Quasi-turn-based combat" - HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHA

Anyway, the Codex used to hate Diablo. Of course, that was when it was full of people who actually believed in something.

I bought it, played it, and returned it before my 30 days were up for a full refund.

I wanted to see what it was about. I saw. I grew disgusted and then got out.

I shouldn't have wasted my time with it, I guess, but I do like to see the future of the industry. And the in game auction house and how that will change game design is indeed the future. So it was worth my time to get a feel for what the impact will be.

Wow, I've spent some 6 years here and now I learn that D1 is revered by the Codex (as opposed to being liked by some codexers). Seems I've been hanging out in the wrong place all that time.

Oh wait...

I don't even know what silly gif is appropriate for this.

Oh wow. So now atmosphere is all that matters in a game. Diablo is not a game, it's a clickfest. Diablo is barely above something like bejeweled as far as interesting gameplay mechanics go. If I wanted to play something that is centered on action I'd play something a little more involved than click-to-win&grind.

AH-focused upgrading = stupid.
The issue never popped up in D2 cause farming runs were pretty sufficient.
Playing with friends, slaughtering dolyaks.
And then farming Mad King during Halloween events for the chests with random exotic.
Good stuff this D3 is.

Yes i bought it but that doesnt mean i still play it, its not about Auction House is just the game sucks and the grind is horrible its not like i don`t like this kind of games i still play Vindictus and played Diablo 2 to the death.

Diablo 3 is just a bad Diablo 2 clone like the rest of them, its a dead horse for me no matter how many updates they make, fuck it and move on, not gonna buy anything from Shitzzard from now on.

There's nothing especially MMO-y about it, except the DRM requirements and cooldowns. Glad it's not PURE clicking like Diablo 1.

I bought it, well I thought SC2 was okay, so I thought, how could Blizzard fuck up Diablo? By making it Ebay adventures, well that's such a stupid idea I don't blame myself for not expecting it.

Well, it's not really worth talking about anymore, especially not here. Maybe move it to strategy gaming or something, that kind of buy and sell shit, isn't it like some economics management game or something?

Grab the Codex by the pussy Divinity: Original Sin Torment: Tides of Numenera Shadorwun: Hong Kong Pathfinder: Kingmaker Steve gets a Kidney but I don't even get a tag. Pathfinder: Wrath I'm very into cock and ball torture
Ruining Diablo 3? is that the same game that sold 10mil copies? Nah, I believe D3 is doing just fine, and I'm one of the few here who likely didn't play or buy it. R00fles!

Let's find out if there is any truth to Volourn.

Never touched the thing, though I did play 1 and 2. However, a purchase for Diablo 3 gives indirect support to ridiculous levels of DRM. This is the same reason why I am not big on Steam. We're running into an era where companies believe they have a right to put extra software unto my computer and monitor my activities while I'm online just so I can play their games (yes, I am aware I can go offline with Steam). When you purchase Diablo 3 you really haven't purchased a game. You have purchased software that can only be played at the whim of Blizzard, and if Blizzard's servers are down you can't game. Which means that in a manner Blizzard still retains a level of ownership despite you handing them money. Nothing good will come of this.
