Maybe censored faggots appear only in the first 2 hours of the game, you know the refund window, so faggots wont get angry and after 2 hours faggots wont be able to do anything and faggots wont be censored anymore and good folk will be able to enjoy the incline in its full glory.

Let me ask you this: how many games from the last few years even have f****t in them? Disco is full of people calling each other f****ts. There may even by characters with f****t in their names and articles of clothing with the word on it. Sure, some of it’s lightly censored, but I guarantee there’s 1000% more hate speech in this game than any other CRPG from the last decade.

Jesus fuck guys, what's all this screeching about some asterixes. The words are still there, you know full well what the uncensored versions would be, the scenes are not rewritten or otherwise changed. If you're that desperate to hear them said out loud, shout them out to yourself when you play or smth, use that glorious imagination of a seasoned RPG player you are/pretend to be and treat it as just another unvoiced line.
As to why only certain words are censored, to step away from Codex-mentality and into normal human empathy for a sec, they're censoring targeted slurs 'cause in the real world, certain places more than others, hate crimes are still very much a thing, and so is PTSD, and, for all that "triggering" has been overused online to the point of parody, it can nonetheless be a very much real thing too. If the compromise of bleeping a word allows some miserable bullied teenager enjoy the game without getting blindsided and flashing back to some nasty memories, it just means that more people get to experience and appreciate it.

Why would it matter if you know what the character is going to say anyways? If you are set on being offended or whatever, fag or f*g shouldn't matter, since from what I have learnt from the Twitter mob it's all but intent, even if it wasn't intended.
