It's a fucking joke that something that should be a standard is being marketed as a feature.
I fully agree with this.

From Wikipedia:
So technically it is partly an RPG and it can be covered here.
I know it can, but should it? I am pretty sure that in this Next-Gengaming you can slap RPG on minesweeper...
Choices and consequences better than in any bethesda game.

If they stuck to pure RPG there would be maybe half a dozen news posts a year.

Yeah you're right and, for the record, I agree with you. However DU and the other staff decided to follow the line of "if it calls itself an RPG, it belongs here". I don't blame them because a) raging about modern "RPGs" is popular and b) they way the genre was progressing before Kickstarter, it looked like the site would run out of games to talk about if it followed a stricter policy.

We live in an age when a game having detailed control options is news. Sad, very sad.

I'm the first person to scrutinise a game as for whether or not it is a good RPG, but I hate the forum discussions about where posts should go and whether or not a game is RPG enough to fit in GRPG. The "Mobygames solution" made the discussion dead in the water and that has made me happy enough that I honestly didn't even care about what that meant for individual games.

Don't start this up again.
