Jesus Christ, I just noticed that she never reads dialogue and completely relies on voiceover.

So those people actually exist. They are among us. I am scared.
She thinks "finesse" is charisma. I'm trying to forget I ever watched 5 minutes of that video.

Edit: thanks Modron but you're a cunt nevertheless

and apparently they are the designers of D&D
Well, being a User Experience Designer, it makes sense that she actually experiences the game the way it was designed. Still, what the fuck.

I loved D:OS, but I would shoot myself in the foot rather than listening to every single line of voiced dialogue. Also, how long would such a playthrough last? Two hundred thousand hours? Not even streamers have that kind of time.

They changed the short description on the store page and...

Funny how they retroactively put "from the creators of Baldur's Gate 3" there.

Codex Year of the Donut Serpent in the Staglands Dead State Divinity: Original Sin Project: Eternity Torment: Tides of Numenera Wasteland 2 Shadorwun: Hong Kong Divinity: Original Sin 2 A Beautifully Desolate Campaign Pillars of Eternity 2: Deadfire Pathfinder: Kingmaker Pathfinder: Wrath I'm very into cock and ball torture I helped put crap in Monomyth
Suggests an imminent release of Baldur's Gate 3 Early Access - why advertise D:OS 2 with a game that nobody has played yet?

I have never seen a retroactive move like this lol. "From the creators of" usually (read: always) denotes already-existing creations, not future ones. From the creators of Generic-Movie 4 comes Generic-Movie 3's premiere next week! Order tickets now!

???

They clearly saw how much rage the BG3 announcement caused here on the Codex and wanted to fuck with the various Ontopolies.

Still amazed at how this sells. Almost 3 years after official release, with 50% discount, it's #1 global top seller above Halo and Red Dead Redemption 2.

I'm trying the game for the first time and I don't know how to go through the suffering caused by how dialogue choices are presented. It sits on a 95% of positive reviews on Steam, so probably after a while everything will click and I will no longer be bothered by this stuff, but right now it seems an insurmountable obstacle.

The game already surprised me performance-wise: my laptop is fairly old and it suffers with almost any "modern" game, but it's handling this one with impressive ease. With D:OS 1 everything started heating even during the main menu and I had to tone down all video settings to the minimum, but with D:OS 2 I'm going with all ultra/high and the fans don't even start crying. What kind of wizardry is this, Swen?

Yes, D:OS2 is crazy good optimized like I mentioned in the thread about loading times.

Does someone know what all the gift bags do ? Do any of those add new content/skills or are they all more like cheats/ease-of-use features ?

Most are just cheats or ease of use, but some do add some extra stuff.

Herb Gardens allows seed planting, Combat Randomiser gives enemies random traits, resistances and such to make combat harder, crafter kit adds more crafting recipes, Divine Talents are more talents to choose, Sourcerers Sundries which add a NPC which level your gear, so you can level an item that has traits you desire instead of replacing it. Also one added more customization options for the character looks (more faces, hairstyles, etc).

Those are mostly the ones that add content, but I may have missed something.

Thanks, sounds like some are worth a closer look.

Happens a fair bit in, say, remarketing / reprinting earlier books from an author that just hit big time with a new best seller.

it gets a bit more stressful much later on in the big city area, but even on my 660 it still runs pretty decent

Yes, but it doesn't happen with books that aren't yet written. BG3 isn't made yet, so "from the creators of BG3" sounds dubious.
